i got straight a's and 2nd best results in my college year and i didn't get in because i wasn't from the 'right' area so i know what you mean there, and i don't think i;m one of the most intelligent, clever people, the point is getting the grades doesn't guarantee you entry to oxbridge..

Oh $£%@! looks like my luck is out then...I might be in good old Surrey now but I didn't exactly grow up in the nicest of places either. I hate it when people are like that.

There you go...thats what bugs today. People thinking they are better than others because of where they are from!
To be honest, some of the most nicest people I've ever met are from the "downside" and places where people are from the "upper class" are more stuck up than I ever imagined possible. Not to say they are all like that though..for e.g. I have this one friend who has three houses in the same road (10 houses apart to be exact) but she is one of the nicest people I've ever met.

No Kai, I said "inverted" snob - i.e. it means you are discriminating about the so called "upper class" in the same way that a snob is discriminating about the so called "lower class". In fact, both types of snobs are the only people who make any distinction between people based on their idea of class.

No i said "some" not "all" and thats why I also said "upperlass" and "lowerclass" (note in the commas) because they are not either, they just get labled as them, because of their back ground.
Hence the hate of it all.

Actually all I offered was help because I have friends who speak those languages and I tried translating it and my friends would kindly help me/correct me. I never said I could speak them all myself. I wish I could, but I can't. And I also never said I was qualified to do so.

You may want to amend this post then:
