Sorry to repeat myself, but the written use of my language by my compatriots! And before anyone has a bash about dislexia, it is just as hard to spell "wot" as "what", "rite" as "right", "thanx" as thanks", "u r" as "you are", "cos" as "because", it is just lazyiness or is cool to write that way??

its just habit 2 write in that way on the internet..not cool..laziness maybe

Have to agree with robin on that one. If you saw my proper writing, the way I write (sometimes) to my mates this sentence would look like this:
hav 2 agre wit robin on d@ 1. if u saw my propr writin, da way i rite (sumtyms) 2 my m8s dis sntnce wud lk lyk dis. 
Anway, it's a bit like asking why do people talk the old English as in representing themseleves as "one" when others use the modern English such as "I". It's also saying if people don't talk proper English it's annoying....in that case, you should talk to some of the people I used to live near...init
Either way I don't mind how people talk, I agree it does get annoyig if you are trying to learn a language but alot of the time it's not us "youngsters" who use slang and not just in English either.
For example: hsg - Hoşgeldin(iz), kib - Kendine iyi bak, slm - selam, tsk - teşekkürler and so on
