İ didn't know about the 1 syllable rule,i just gave her a list for verbs that i know it takes the suffix İr thats all.
But ofcourse this rule would make things more easier.

The main idea of vowel harmoney,is o make pronounciation more easier on your tongue.
So when you pronounce a thik vowel in a word,you follow it with same harmony as a thik vowel too.
And when you pronounce a thin vowel in a word,you would follow it with same.

But it is Geniş Zaman.
Geniş zaman can take 3 shaps with verbs.

eylem + r ,Ir,Ar +kişi eki

İt take the 'r' when it comes after a vowel.
Take the 'Ar' with others,but there are some vervs that take the 'Ir' suffix.
They are not many verbs,but görüşmek is one of them.
