ohh,it is easy really,if you understood the main concept of the language

Which is to me, suffix,
İn English,if ypu want to change the tense which you are using, you change the sentence form,in Türkish, they add suffix to the verb stem

So the word looks different, when you become familier with the suffix, you would know how to find the verb, and understand its meaning

Like here olamamış

Ol + a + ma + mış
olmak
a ..... can
ma....not
mış ....reported past tense

So it means couldn't have been

Now we knew the verb, because we know the suffix,
now you search for olmak in the dictionary, and you will find it

true, but aşık is different a bit

İt means like melting in your lover, become one, see, hear only him, think only about him
İts like madly in love, no logic,no mind, just love,or we can say,you still keep your mind, but still for your lover

Errmmmm, something like that

Quoting christine_usa:

Thank you Canli,

The verb explanation helped alot! but why baban and not baba?

And the "hakkinda" has me completely perplexed. I need to study much more!

Thank you,
Christine

Anytime Christine,
Ok,let's have a look here

Baba....is father...babaN... is YOUR father

You see that is the possessive pronouns,

Chesck this list,

ben sen o biz siz onlar
Benim senin onun bizim sizin onların

BabA babaM babaN babaSI babaMIZ babaNIZ babaLARI

here baba ended with a vowel,so notice the possessive pronouns, and notice now the difference

İş işİM işİN işİ işİMİZ işİNİZ işLERİ

We added (I ) and ofcourse it follow the vowel harmony too,so it takes the 4 shapes I,İ,U,Ü

As for benim, senin, ...that is mine,yours...ect

hakkinda..lets sperate it
Ok,i am checking this ,before telling you, sry, but,i just want to be sure %100 before i tell you

İ'll get back to you, sry

Ok,done

Hak + k + ın + da

The second K is because its a foreigner word, arabic one,so they repeated it, ın means yours, da means with

So the whole word here can be explained as 'due to you'
The search you will do for his sake ,something like that

thx derya and gizopy

Quoting derya:

"I will research this cancer doctor for your father"
Baban için bu kanser doktoru hakkında araştıracağım.

araştırmak...to search
araştıracağım

araştır + acak + ım
verb stem + future suffix acak + personal pronoun

But k change to ğ when it followed by a vowel

So it become araştıracağım
