The verb stem + dEn/dAn means 'without, before'.


So:

Söyleme-den gitmek - To go without saying
Ders çalışma-dan sınava girmek - To enter the exam without studying

Ben gelmeden (önce) gitme - Don't leave before I come!

I think it would be more logical this way:

Sadece seni çok sevdiğim için bunu söylüyor ve istiyorum.

Yes it does sound strange

I experienced a small earthquake during my last holiday in Turkey. It must have been between christmas and new year, or the first week of january.. there was one in Menemen I believe. We woke up in the middle of the night, our bed shook several times!
