Hi everybody,

Just a small update on thıs long-forgottn thread!

Sunday night I arrıved at İzmir airport! So far my first 2 days have been good. My apartment looks really fine, though I hope Kadir will help me paint the walls because I don't like them this way We bought a fridge and some other household stuff, and I hope we soon will get me a bed and a couch so that I can live there.

The view is amazing, especially at night. Then the lights on the other side of the sea at Karşıyaka seem to magically shine ahead of you!

I joıned my first İftar and had dinner at a friend last night, who all do the fasting. During the day Kadir and I take care not really to eat ın front of hıs frıends because ıt makes me (and them prbably too ) feel very uncomfortable.

In two weeks we will go to Ankara to visit his parents and brother again. I'm really curious to this city.

Well, it's already ten oclock so I better get dressed and everything so that I can wash the dishes and take some photos of the view for my parents

Haydı bai bai!

She has a wonderful voıce and ı lısten the album regularly. Even my parents asked for a copy

Good luck fındıng and ıf ıt really wont work, ı could try to put them onlıne tho ım rather busy the comıng weeks. I at least really recommend you the album.

I've been surfing around a bit to find the cellphone I want. I will buy a new one in Turkey and I set my mind on the Samsung SGH-E870 for quite some time.

I found THIS turkish website for cellphones and the Euro-price seems fair enough to me: it's what I can afford and what I'm w illing to spend tops.

But I dont understand the price bit that is right up int he corner:

Fiyatı (KDV hariç) : 283,00 EUR
Fiyatı (KDV dahil) : 641,76 YTL

Havale (%3.00 iskonto) : 623,07 YTL

What is KDV hariç and KDV dahil and what is havale?

Because.. none of the YTL prices are the same as the €283,-. So I don't understand what price it is!

If I let it calculate it in taksit, I figured I could do that too, because then I don't have to use my own saved up money, but I could calculate it in my monthly costs for which my parents give me enough. I can use Kadir's bankcard for the taksit.

So what would the price be if I buy it all at once, the taxes included (in YTL) and what do you advice about the taksit?

ps » I'm not planning to buy via internet, but I'm trying to get an idea of the price. For myself I found that it should be preferably 250€ and not more than 300€.

oh, dear ppl, thanks for sharing ur concerns about darfur, esp thanks to mrx who as usually makes it "flatly" shallow!
yes, this is not the site to talk about the genocide done on the poorest ppl. this site is for fun, lovers cant talk about or think of pains. and of course "let me entertain u!" right?
there was a person here who told the differences attract us, so thats why the world should stay extremely attractive for us! so give us a break, life is too short!let us enjoy our life!
cheers!

Though I wouldntve put it the way you did, I think you're quite right. I share your sarcasm on this point.

You should take him one of those TC products

HAHAHAH! Now that's a good one Unfortunately they will be produced in Türkiye and I wanted to bríng somethign there, not take it from there

I already found my gift Maybe anyone has heard of the designer clothing brand GSUSsindustries. In Holland it is now highly competing with Replay and Diesel and it's quite a nice brand. It is Dutch and the two maindesigners come from my region I bought him a nice ATKI of Gsussindustries. I solved the size-problem with this, because it will fit him anyway and the brand is stylish but cool enough for a 16 year old.. and.. it's DUTCH

Thanks everyone for their help!

I am in a similr position myself - and I have just bought designer t-shirts for him

Yes a t-shirt seems to be the best idea. I will buy from Kadir's favourite shop in Holland, eventho its not Dutch
Only it's rather difficult to pick the right size.. I know he needs L, but the L i saw in that shop looked rather small but XL looked so huge!!
