Kadir just told me that the one he uses has the tabacco of 3 cigarettes inside it. You smoke it once a day for quite sometime, but an average smoker smokes more than 3 fags during the day..

There are however, nargiles that contain the tabacco of 50 cigrattes. No need to say that that is pretty harmful.

In Holland, nargiles can be served in coffeeshops with softdrugs in the tabacoo

Kadir is preparing one right now hehe. We bought the most lovely scenting apple flavor tabacco at Kemeraltı market!

It was oldfashioned at first, but has become really popluar among youth these days. I have seen many, many girls smoking nargile in İzmir, but I have to admit that most of them are kinda tacky. I dont smoke it because Im just against smoking, be it that its less harmful than cigarettes (something I kinda doubt because eventhough it gets filtered in the water, not all the damaging parts can be filtered and the amount of tabacoo used in one nargile is more than one fag.. ı really wonder about it), anyway, I love the smell of the smoke though!! ANd the sound is really calming!

I bought a laptop and we rented films so we are gonna watch them now, with tea and nargile and chocolates we got for Şeker bayram!! Im starting to feel really Turkish

Quoting bod:

How do we refer to a time in the future???

For example - how would we translate:
I February we are going to İstanbul

Şubatda İstanbul'a gideceğiz
Şubatla İstanbul'a gideceğiz
Şubat içinde İstanbul'a gideceğiz
Şubat zarfında İstanbul'a gideceğiz

or something else???

Şubat'ta İstanbul'a gideceğiz
Şubat'ta İstanbul!a gideriz.

I think these both are correct. I dont really remember but I thınk that the first one is when you are definetely sure you're going (you already bought the ticket), the second one is when you plan to go but t is more like an idea in your mind.

But someone please back me up here

Thread: Turkey EU? or not?

Some things that I count as pro-joining:

- Having Turkey joining the EU as such a big country of which the majority is İslamic, would show the other islamic countries where we consequently see terroristic attacks, suppressing and war, that it İS possible to be democratic and modern without losing the own identity and religion.
- Europe is becoming grey. There are lots of jobs for the youth, but no youth left (willing) to work. Turkey is a green country with many young people who would like to work.
- Import and export rules from and to Turkey will become easier and cheaper for both sides. This way both Turkey and Europe cna probably compete better with the US.
- The difficulties that Turkish people face just going abroad for holiday will dissapear as they should get open access to the rest of Europe like the other members of the EU do.

Reasons why Turkey cant/shoulnt join:

- The Cypriotic question remains unsolved. How can Europe accept a country which claims a piece of a EU member thats not theirs? (im leaving my own opinion in the middle because I have no idea.. but this in general is a problem that must be solved).
- Does Europe want to be bordered to Iran and Iraque? With open EU borders, it will also become easier for terrorists to cross borders to Western Europe
- I think the fact that the Orhan Pamuk thread got blocked by an admin already shows that there are some sensitive subjects in Turkey joining EU of which I dont see a solutıon.. Especially not with the thing France did. How can Türkiye be united to a union of which one country has a law that goes straight against their principles?
- Another important point ıs that, ın the EU, the more inhabitants a country has, the bigger voice/vote. Turkey would become the biggest country joining EU, thus having the biggest vote. However, she would be a new country, ın which many developments still have to come through, but she would also get the biggest vote.

---

The above mentioned arguments are not really stated with certain facts. They are just thoughts I have.
I myself dont have an opinşon whether turkey should join or not. There have been sooo many discussions on dutch telly that ı got totally confused. But I thınk Turkey wıll join. Shes been trying for ıt for sooooo many years and tried to fulfill all EUs wishes, that I wıll be surprised ıf EU has the guts to turn their back to Turkey now..
