What or who and from where is the source of the words. Could it be Kurdish? Another Turkic language?

When I learned English grammar as a child - lo those mqany, many years ago, we learned a little sing song poem containing the ´verbs of being´ also known as passive verbs.

"Were" coupled with any other verb is passive. (Were coming)

Hasta oldum. Okulde gitmamiþtim.

(40 years ago I´d have said it like thqat in Hatay.)

They´d have understood me there, too.

Benile oynayormusun?

Simple straight up. If the addressee is a Turkish male native speaker, he´ll get the message without long phrases.

As others said, he won´t answer that straight - unless the truth is that he is not playing with your affections.

Or he might be the first guy in the world to say "Evet, canim, senile oynayorudum ama simdi bitmis, haydi gidiyorum."
