No it doens´t, it didnt mean the translation has to be ´in a paper clip´.

I ment to say ataşta is also Azerbaijani Turkish, the ´normal´ turkish word

would be ateşte. So here it both means ´in the fire´. But if you would read only

ataşta while thinking its being turkish you would think it means ´in a paperclip´.

Gokuyum wrote:

bir ataşta oyadıram oyanmaz ( Tr: uyandıram uyanmaz)

as if only the last 2 words were different in real turkish but he should have written:

bir ataşta oyadıram oyanmaz ( Tr: bir ateşte uyandıram uyanmaz)

Hope you understand what I was trying to say.

Remark for learners: Ataşta in Turkish should be ateşte (in Turkish ataş is a (paper)clip so translation would be in a /paper)clip {#emotions_dlg.lol_fast}

100 milyon dolarınız olsa ne yapardınız?
binbirgeçe gibi bir gece yaşamazdım o kadar parayı hiç bir kıza vermem ülkeyi bir süre terkederdim
Nasıl bir öğrenciydiniz/öğrencisiniz?
İdare ediyordum. Bitse de gitsek modundaydım.

My try:

If you had 100 milyon dollar what would you do ?

I wouldn´t live one night like 1001nights, I won´t give so much money to any girl, I would leave the country for a while.

What kind of student where you/are you ?

I was managing/handling it. I was in the mode of if only it would finish and we would go.

(binbirgece/1001nights is a series on turkish television)

Quoting Berta

Thanks for your explanation about Edilger and Ettirgen, really I have a lot of difficulties to understand it, moreover my mother tongue is Spanish not English.

Your examples are very clear except one of them:

I was stopped by someone

Ben durduruldum

I don´t understand this construccion, if the main verb is durmak, I was thinking about durulmak,

Thanks in advance for further explanations about this subject

Açıklamak için binlerce teşekkür ederim

The main verb isn´t durmak but durdurmak:

Durmak: to stop

Durdurmak: to make stop/bring to stop (someone)

Durdurulmak: to be stopped (by someone)
