...got a new gasket for my old stainless steel Aeternum pressure cooker. At the time I got it there were only aluminimun ones around, but the gasket wore out and they were impossible to find here.......so...Now, at long last, I´m cooking with a proper pressure cooker, but as it doesn´t have a pressure guage, so I´m learning how to test the pressure other ways....lol...

Pressure Cooker Test there is some interesting information on using pressure cookers here.

Do you use a pressure cooker, and if so what kind?

Of course there is. You just have to speak of ethnicity not religion.

I can understand her confusion though. Under the current Jewish definition of Jewishness, you are a Jew if your mother was Jewish. It speaks nothing of belief. Under that definition, one could have very little Semitic genes.

I pretty much agree with you Elisabeth, but I wish we didn´t have to hear anything about the person´s religion. Keep it secret. Acts speak louder.....

Why should it matter if he is an athiest?  I think people still confuse ethics with religion.  If he is an ethical man and can do the job...who cares?

Actually, you are wrong. I have met a few who claimed to be....in person.

There is no such thing as a Jewish atheist.

Hmmm....interesting. I don´t particularly like Aretha´s sound. It´s too predictable for my taste, but it´s just a matter of taste...you like what you like and I like what I like. Who can explain it? Sometimes I get annoyed with too many embellishments.

How about Celine? I love her sound, particularly in My Heart Will Go On.  Then, tastes can change too.

I do love Dolly´s version too...I love Dolly....although under normal conditions I would not care for that type of music, but Dolly is special....

That song was at the height of Whitney´s career, it´s sad to see what appears to have become of her since then.

It´s hard to explain.  I love music from the heart (and soul) - who could not love songs like "Change is Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke. "When a Man Loves a Woman" Percy Sledge or pretty much anything by Aretha Franklin -  Still - each to their own I guess

The original Dolly Parton one is lovely - the Whitney one is over the top, show-offy and vile!

Interesting....I love Dolly...and her version is great....but Whitney´s makes the hair on my neck stand up....and tears come to my eyes. She takes me on a ride....

It may be what you are used to. I´ve heard a lot of Black Gospel music, and I love the over the top aspect.

Hey, we are talking about love here...you don´t hold back in love...or do you?

Have you heard this one by Dolly, Jolene?  Ha ha ha..how funny we are talking about someone being more over the top than Dolly?
