It´s about a little girl who has lost his both parents in an accident and who is raised by his father´s friend´s family. The girl has grown up, but she seemed to be unhappy amoung that family, because of the lack of tenderness from her ´adoptive´ family; except her father´s friend who seemed to have pity for her. The elder son of that family had fallen in love with that girl, but he has no ideas whether his feelings were being shared or not. He was trying to tell her his feelings when he has suddenly been interrupted by his father who didn´t like the scene. His father has told him that the girl was entrusted to his family, so he had the duty to protect her from any evil intentions. The son certified to his father his good intentions and also told him about how deep were his feelings towards that girl. He took great care not to tell his mother about his feelings because she may not accept it. In the meanwhile, the young girl was being approached by a ´handsome young man´ in front of the Bosphorus.

Could someone explain what kind of construction is this "hatırlaman". I do understand it means "your remembering" but I want to know where and what could be the most appropriate situation to use it..please explain with examples.
