That explains why Serbians attempted ethic cleansing of Bosnians and Kosovans. right in the middle of Europe.

Poor Serbians are just not civilised yet; that is all ! {#emotions_dlg.lol_fast}

As I mentioned before there are racists in each country. I am sure there are racists Serbians as well. We know that there are racist Turks too. But having some racist in Sebia is no justification to be a racist. Same goes with any other racists in any other country!

So racism has to go. No justification to be a racist.

Every country should deal with their own racists.

That is what we are doing here

However it is better than before but not enough.

Agop the Türk

Even a law that makes Kurdish racism and sexual perversion free will not enough.

They should both be obligatory ! {#emotions_dlg.lol_fast}

No Justification whatsoever about racism..

Racism has to go.

I would highly recommend to stick a new motto : ´All racists of the world, unite´. lol

Ethnicity, sexual orientation excluded in hate crime

A draft presented to the Cabinet concerning hate crimes does not include provisions for those targeted because of their sexual orientation or ethnic identity.
...
However, hate and prejudice crimes are defined in the draft as “crimes committed based on someone’s or some group’s language, race, nationality, skin color, gender, disability, political views, philosophical beliefs or religion,” excluding those based on ethnicity and sexual orientation, different to many European countries.

With the exclusion of ethnicity as a characteristic that could be basis of a hate crime, assaults against ethnic minorities in Turkey that don’t have a nation recognized by the United Nations would be charged with a regular punishment. For example, if an Armenian person in Turkey is targeted for being an Armenian, the crime committed against them will be regarded as a hate crime and whatever the crime is, its penalty would be aggravated.

On the hand, the largest ethnic minority in Turkey, Kurds, is not included in the regulation, as it does not have a U.N.-recognized country.

Although gender is included, the same is true for gays and lesbians, as attacking a person based on their sexual orientation is not regarded as a hate or prejudice crime, according to the draft.

..
“A hate crime is a crime that is intolerance towards a certain group within society. A protected characteristic is a fundamental or core characteristic that is shared by a group, such as ‘race,’ religion, ethnicity, language or sexual orientation,” the institution states on its website.

...
Although most of the unveiled reforms have been hailed, some find the promises insufficient and accuse the government of lacking willingness to target the real issues facing Turkey.

----------------------
Even though, there seems to be  a legal escape from hate crimes when targeting the Kurds for being Kurds, racists can be brought to justice when they target UN recognized nations such as Armenians/Serbians/Greeks etc.  (´some´ should be more careful!!!    )
However it is better than before but not enough.

Put your history in order, Agop !

Serbians may have a historical grudge against Turks, but why take it out on Bosnians and Kosovans ?

Only because it looked easy at the time. Cheap heroes....

Racism is not a frowned upon thing anymore.

It is considered as a CRIME in civilised societies!

oh when you guys post some anti-turkish crap its democratic, non-fascist, completely free thinking, but when there some armenian criticism its "defaming a nation uuu"

get real

I think it is very basic here : ´Defaming Armenians /or Greeks or/Kurds etc are anti-Turkish, racist and sheer hate crime´.That should not make any Turk happy. If you feel happy about  racist crap because it is done against Armenian(or Greeks/Kurds etc)  you should check your grounds and rethink why it makes you happy.

Our problem is with ´racism in general´.  Weather it is racism in Turkey or Germany or Armenia. Because a Turkish racist is not a better person than a german racist or an armenian racist. They all commit hate crimes. Infact, hate crime or racism should not be tolerated.  Not anymore!

Anybody remembers cele kule?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skull_Tower

I think it is best, if we know a bit of history before looking at the events from one side.

I would also recommend Serdar Kaya´s writing for me beloved country people http://derinsular.com/kelle-kulesi/

It says that :

"Dünyada ölümle, korkuyla ve kaba kuvvetle hükmetmenin çok sayida örnegi vardir. Ama bu durumu böylesine dogrudan bir sekilde abidelestiren ikinci bir yapita rastlamak zordur."

Serbia condemns Turkish PM Erdogan’s remarks

..

"In the Republic of Serbia, such statements cannot be received as friendly. They depart from assurances that we get in contacts with Turkey´s top officials," the Foreign Ministry said, according to the Serbian news agency Tanjug.

Erdogan had given a speech during his visit to Kosovo´s Prizren, in which he said, "Kosovo is Turkey, and Turkey is Kosovo." The prime minister further added that the two nations, Kosovo and Turkey, shared the same history and civilization.

"The town of Emperor Dusan [the greatest ruler of medieval Serbia] is probably the least adequate place for such statements. Everyone in the world knows that Kosovo is a Serbian word, and Serbia´s territory, even those who recognized that quasi-state," the ministry said in a press release.

Kurdish rebels threaten new fight in Turkey as Syria clashes intensify
..
Bayik, the group´s most senior figure at liberty, spoke at a small, heavily guarded house in the Qandil Mountain range in Iraq´s Kurdish north, ...

Ocalan began talks with Turkish officials last year to halt a conflict that has left more than 40,000 people dead over the past three decades and earned the PKK a place on a list of terrorist organisations as designated by Turkey, the United States and European Union.
..
In March, a ceasefire was called and Ocalan ordered his guerillas to retreat from Turkey to Iraq´s autonomous Kurdistan region, but the withdrawal was suspended last month
..
Now we are preparing ourselves to send the withdrawn groups back to North Kurdistan if the government does not accept our conditions," said Bayik..
..when Turkey unveiled a package of reforms Bayik described as "empty".

"That package has nothing to do with democracy," he said, accusing Erdogan of giving false hope. "There is no change in the mentality."
