I really don’t understand your argument Capo. It does not take a study in medicine with “Nobel prize winners” to determine that ALL living creatures are different from each other, not just humans and your collective term “animals”. Is an elephant the same as an ant?!!! No! I fail to see how any amount of medical study draw the conclusion that a human life is WORTH MORE than any other life – except to a selfish human. It is typical human arrogance to think we are more important than every other organism simply because we are more evolved. Humans have more advanced brain power – does this make them more worthy of respect and life? If this is your theory, then when we have finished with animals, your chain of authority would suggest that your NEXT victims of experimentation and abuse would be humans of the lowest intelligence, and after that – perhaps a race that you were particularly not fond of…

There are no errors in my “belief”. A life is something even “nobel prize winners” are unable to create, or understand. They can manipulate the creation of life (as in test tube babies) but they are nowhere near being able to create a life completely. They can understand the biology, but they are unable to create that miracle “spark” which gives something life – even in ant. It is precious and fragile and should be respected, whatever form it takes.

I could go further, but this is not the forum for this debate and I was merely answering the question as to whether or not I wear leather or eat meat.

I was pointing out that there is no sound proof. Neither Evolution nor Creationism supports this argument of equality in worth or value between humans and animals. Maybe sentimental value yes. I know people that love animals more...and for good reason I think in some cases! Creationist believe God wasn't a selfish or arrogant when he gave man dominion over animals. And evolutionists agree that humans have evolved over time to be dominant over animals as well....

Hey, you can believe what you want in your heart I am not trying to change that. I also agree that life is precious. And that animals should be well cared for and respected. I reserve the right to disagree with you regarding equality between human and animal life for the above named reasons.

Whether having Aşkım or not, thats not the issue.
The point is have you really saw Egyptian women marry for camels ?
A Doctor,a lawer,teacher,or an accountant,riding the camel with her bridegroom ?!
Why do you say something not happening ?!

Beside we don't have camels, except at the pyramids area, because its suitable for desert arround it,and tourists like riding them !
We export them!

canli i think you misunderstood me. at no point in any of my posts did i say that i "saw Egyptian women marry for camels", or any of the other things that you mentioned. did you see anywhere in my posts that i said those things??

my posts were in reference to sweet.kane's post who said that the friend's dad got offered 2 camels in turkey for his wife's hand in marriage. so my initial post was that in egypt they offer more.

and yes, before you ask i did see and hear men offer camels for hand in marriage whilst i was in egypt.

i would never ever make something up about another country or culture like that.

there was no malice in any of my posts. i think if you followed what i was saying you would probably actually see that i was joking around and not being serious at all.

Yes gezbelle,i understood what you said.

And that is what i was asking about,as you said you've been into Egypt last year,so you know how do we live and how is our country.
And if you say you saw,or heard men offer camels for hand in marriage, its quite strange to me still,,cause its not a common thing even to hear about it here, not only in cities but in the country too!
İf woman got an offer of camels for marrige ,what would she do with it ? park it beside her car ?!
Not saying every woman owns her own car ofcourse,we are not a rich country after all,but camels not normal to see in streets!
Reading your posts, made me feel that we have camels transportations instead of public transportations !

But offering camels for hand of marrige can happen only in Bedwien communities, those are the people who live in the desert,or some who live in Sinai in the mountains.
İ cann't tell you much about it cause i haven't seen any except in TV.
But i guess you know already.

But anyhow,maybe i misunderstood you.

And i guess riding camels would cause less pollution!

somehow i don't think the men were being serious with their offers of camels in return for marriage.

like you said what would the woman do with the camel?

and yes you are right, i didn't see many camels at all...though i did see a truckload of them in aswan, probably heading to the camel market.
