Can anyone correct my sentences? It's not about the English translation, that I just did quick and so-so (I have to translate again in Dutch when I'm finished). Important are the verb conjugations.
ALIŞTIRMA 9.1
Aşağıdaki cümleleri şimdiki zamanın ekleriyle tamamlayınız.
1- Ben kahve seviyorum ama çay hiç sevmiyorum / I like coffee but I don’t like tea.
2- O İngilizce konuşıyor ama Almanca hiç konuşmıyor. / He speaks English but he does not speak German.
3- Ben spor yapıyorum ama hiç kilo almıyorum. / I practice sports but İ cannot lift a kilo.
4- Biz ona el sallıyoruz ama o bizi görmiyor. / We wave at him but he does not see us.
5- Sen çok çalışıyorsun ama hiç para biriktirmiyorsun. / You work a lot but you do not save money.
6- Aslı sigara içiyor ama içki içmiyor. / Aslı smokes but she does not drink.
7- Kemal çok para kazanıyor ama mutlu olmıyor. / Kemal earns much money but he is not happy.
8- O dikkatli araba süriyor ama hep kaza yapmıyor. / He drives the car carefully but he gets always accidents.
9- Siz koşıyorsunuz ama hiç yorulmıyorsunuz. / You run but you never get tired.
10- Ben Türkçe yazıyorum ama konuşmıyorum. / İ write Turkish but İ do not speak it.

i'd say
Mutlu olmuyor = he doesn't become happy.
He isn't happy = mutlu değil.
am i wrong here ? Can we use olmuyor as "he is" ?

i'd say
Mutlu olmuyor = he doesn't become happy.
He isn't happy = mutlu değil.
am i wrong here ? Can we use olmuyor as "he is" ? |
If you're right or not, I don't know, but like I said, this was not about translation but about conjugation. I just translated it myself as 'he is'.
