but i think the verb hoşlanmak uses the "-dan" case...

i'm not sure if that is right... |
I knew that certain post-positions follow "dan" case, but hadn't heard that verbs do. But the way "hoş" is used, makes me think you are right.

in the dictionary it says:
hoşlanmak
/dan/ to like, be pleased with; to enjoy.
so i'm assuming the object that comes before the verb takes -dan
i.e. senden hoşlanıyorum

Ben(i) is the object zannettin, so de is "also" or "that", based on what yourself and selin21 already said.
"Did you think I am also Istanbullu?"
That works for me.(I need to go translate the rest of the song)

Where are you from ? = Nerelisin ?
İ am from İstanbul. = İstanbulluyum.
li,lı,lu,lü,=with (related with)
süs=decoration süslü=decorated. süssüz =undecorated.
from=den,dan
Structure and telling ways are not same in all languages.
i,ı,u,ü means specification
Bir kitap aldım= İ bought a book
Kitabı aldım=İ bought the book.
Evi temizledim =İ cleaned the home.
a,e means arriving.
İstanbul'a gidiyorum. (İ am going to İstanbul)
Sana bakıyorum. İ am looking at you.
Eve gidiyorum. İ am going to home.
da means situated.
İstanbul'da yaşıyorum.= İ live in İstanbul. (in real sentence i am living in istanbul but the English say İ live)
Uçaktayım.= i am on plane
den,dan means leaving
Ankaradan İstanbul'a gideceğim.=İ will go to İstanbul from Ankara.
Civciv yumurtadan çıkar.= chick comes out from egg.

both "ya" and "da/de" are used in ways that IMHO defy exact English equivalents. I will translate the whole song to help myself. I liked it when you corrected yourself (replys back), (adding the accusative) before CALIPTRIX did it for you..

de,da, which is not written as suffix, means also, too.This does not have te,ta form.
Did you think i am also from İstanbul ?
But de,da,te,ta which is written as suffix means ''situated''.
İstanbul'da=in İstanbul
Okulda=at school
Uçakta=on plane
Kağıtta=On paper.
Sergide=on exhibit
