Quoting AEnigma III:

It is very tragic news.

Typical of Turkish melodramatics to be talking of conspiracy theories already.

...(let me guess that the US or EU will have something to do with it).....

Melodramatic or not...6 Turkish scientists are dead.

Sad for recent Turkish moves to create local cooperation on development and use of peaceful nuclear power in the area.

You may have noticed that Berkol had received Michael Hamilton Award during his short but very bright academic life.

Michael Hamilton (Mike, to his friends) was another bright scholar who taught physics in Robert College of Istanbul. I dont think Mike and Berkol ever met; Berkol was too young for that.

In summer 1976 Mike planned for a vacation in Southern Turkia. His intention was to take his girlfriend with him on his beloved motorcycle.

When the lady expressed her fear of the huge Harley, they decided to fly South, instead.

Their plane crashed at a location very close to Berkol's crash point. The couple were among the deceased.

It is terrible when anyone dies in tragic circumstances, but normaly when a plane crashes there are no survivors. Many people have road accident and live.
