Istanbul - Turkey

This is so unfair. You have no right to do this early in the morning LoveIstanbul

Istanbul (from wedat turkali )

salkım salkım tan yelleri estiğinde
mavi patiskaları yırtan gemilerinle
uzaktan seni düşÃ¼nür düşÃ¼nürüm
istanbul

binbir direkli haliç'inde akşamlar
adalarında bahar süleynaiye'nde güneş
ey sen ne güzelsin ey kavgamızın şehri
istanbul

boşuna çekilmedi bunca acılar
büyük ve sakin süleymaniye'nle bekle
parklarınla, köprülerinle, meydanlarınla
bekle bizi istanbul

tophane'nin karanlık sokaklarında
koyun koyuna yatan çocuklarınla bekle
bekle zafer şarkılarıyla geçişimizi
istanbul

haramilerin saltanatını yıkacağız
bekle o günler gelsin gelsin istanbul
sen bize layıksın bizde sana istanbul
istanbul

boşuna çekilmedi bunca acılar
büyük ve sakin süleymaniye'nle bekle
parklarınla köprülerinle meydanlarınla
bekle bizi istanbul

Well i am living in Istanbul/ Taksim and i love istanbul too but living in istanbul is not as beautiful as you think:-S very very very crowded streets and terrible traffic every day make you want to run away. yes there are some historical beautiful places but after 1 month your eyes dont see the beauty of city. anyway...still Istanbul is the best

Ciko! You are ruining the romantic atmosphere of this site There is no traffic in Istanbul! Traffic exists in more mundane cities like London or New York. In Istanbul, you fly in arms of handsom men - most common means of transportation, at least that's what I've seen.

Ohhhh, heheheheheh, that totally explains why you're in such a bad mood and talk badly about Istanbul. It is your personal problem, nothing to do with Istanbul. lol We can carry on girls and boys. So... who was the last to fall in love in Taksim?

It sure is the best! Most cosmopolitan cities have the same issues; if a city is not great, it won't be so populated.

Aside from the rich culture and the histoic architect, I think it's the people that make it so beautiful.

Lucky you! How I wish I lived there...

Istanbul is definitely beautiful and worth to visit, but after reading all the euphrics about it, I was disappointed when I actually visited. I guess I was expecting to feel high or stoned at the first sight...

I'm sure Manhattan traffic will beat Istanbul's at any day... and New Yorkers (me included) can get very nasty.

I dont know about shelters in ıstanbul but most of people are interested in animals especially in cats. They feed them maybe it's the reason. For example, my students have some cats around their dormitories and they feed them every meal time.
