Paul the octopus  dies.

....

"He appears to have passed away peacefully during the night, of natural causes, and we are consoled by the knowledge that he enjoyed a good life here," said Mr Porwoll.

He was only 2 1/2 years old...

Very strange, but is it the mind playing tricks. Desperate to find out though! I love things like "could it be?!" type of debate. Everyone has their opinions and it´s great to see what people think.

I didn´t tell my partner anything about the clip and said "it´s a 1928 clip from a charlie chaplin film, what is odd about it?" he couldn´t tell me at first, but when I said "what is the lady holding" the first thing he said was "a mobile phone" then changed his mind when I stated it couldn´t be because they didn´t exist then. It´s funny how the mind works. Scotoma?

Overflow of Turkish flags today. And sitting next to a school is also not the best timing. They have been reciting and standing outside for HOURS {#emotions_dlg.eeek} Wondering if even more flags will turn up tomorrow...

I would like to experience it for a short about of time, to see how people go about their daily lives etc but I wouldn´t want to do it for four months and certainly not four months for every year for the rest of my life. Sod that, I´d move!

I can´t imagine living without the sun for 4 months. Especially that off-licence shops close are open just for a couple of hours a day and alcohol costs an arm and a leg in Norway. I loved the Norwegian landscape but I wouldn´t be able to live there. It´s like living in a hermitage. Small red-painted houses at great distance from one another, polar bears, which apparently are not very people-friendly, and a four-month darkness...not my idea of living

Turkish village blighted by cancer

´.....as long as the village has been there, its inhabitants have suffered abnormally high rates of respiratory disease, responsible for about half of all deaths. Until recently no-one knew why.

Dr Izzettin Baris holding a piece of erionite

´The cause was discovered by Dr Izzettin Baris, who began studying patients in Tuzkoy and two other affected villages, Karaiun and Sarahidir, in the mid-1970s.´

It is really a tragedy that it took so long to convince the authorities of the problem but at last something is being done.

Suicide bomber blows himself up in Sweden

Approximately ten minutes before the explosions occurred, Swedish news agency TT received an email, also addressed to Säpo, in which a reached out to “Sweden and the Swedish people”.

He cites Sweden’s silence surrounding the cartoons by Swedish Lars Vilks which portray the prophet Mohammed as a dog, the Swedish troops in Afghanistan, saying in audio files attached to the email that “now your children, daughters and sisters die like our brothers’ and sisters’ children die”.

“Our actions will speak for themselves. As long as you don’t stop your war against Islam and degrading the prophet and your stupid support of that pig Vilks,” the man said.

The man also urges all Muslims in Sweden to “stop sucking up to and degrading”. He concludes the message with yet another call to “all the mujahedeen in Europe and Sweden”.

“Now it’s time to act, don’t wait any longer. Fear no one, don’t fear prison, don’t fear death.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wonder if the idiot objects to social welfare benefits the state offers him...If you don´t like our freedom of speech, stay in your parody of a country.
