Quoting alameda:

He started becoming agressive in defense of his friend, when a group of ladies started attacking elibrody.

There have been others here who were very agressive, but were not attacked and then deleted, that is the point.

Instead of trying to work with him, a group decided to provoke and prod him. There was no effort to work with him in a atmosphere of hospitality and reconciliation.

I communicated with him via PM and he was not at all rude, in fact he was very polite.

(I think this is the right thread )

Sorry Alameda, but dont you think he also failed to follow the rules?

Edited: and what I mean by rules is, TC rules and those "Netiquette" rules you mentioned in another thread

Don't worry NiseeD, it was not you, it was catwoman who spoke about my gender. I have had other communications with her regarding this issue. You have nothing to do with it and did nothing wrong.

Welcome to Turkish Language Class by the way.

I read the comments about how insulting Adonis has been etc. etc. but I feel what Alameda has said has some validity.

Karpusqeen, you always agree with alameda... sometimes you make me wonder if it's not her second account...

Quoting karpusqueen:

I don't want to get into a debate about Adonis as I already know how people feel. However, I felt I needed to give my support to him. I would also like to say that this does not mean I don't understand how other people feel.

I read the comments about how insulting Adonis has been etc. etc. but I feel what Alameda has said has some validity.

I took the trouble to read through Adonis' posts and from these, found him to,be helpful with translations, intelligent and rarel aggressive. For the most part he appears to have contributed to debates without any problems.

Well..since you are new here....I wouldn't expect that you would know that many of Adonis' posts were deleted...so you couldn't have possibly gotten the "full effect" of what kind of person he was to anyone who didn't share his views.

Try to move on, try not do dwell forever on this subject -let Adonis finally rest in peace. No one here is perfect!!!!!

I agree with you Roswitha.. makes no sense so much argument about it---he is gone by now (voluntarily or unvoluntarily)so why keep fighting? Whichever the case, we can not say he was exempt of NOT breaking the rules of mutual respect. In a never ending fight or battle both sides strongly believe they are always right. So, lets not blame on only one side or the other.

Are you attempting to discredit me, catwoman? Do you think I'm the only one who feels like this? FYI, I have one account and have had it over 2 and a half years.

For the record, there are others who feel the same way I do regarding Adonis. They are:
roswitha, janissary, caliptrix, lapinkulta, yilgun-7 and karpus-queen who have posted publicly. I have had pms from others who feel the same way, but as they have not posted publicly, I am not mentioning them. There may be others, but this is what I remember right now.

If they were here I know other young Turkish men who would feel exactly the same way. I am able to articulate this, that is the difference.

If you are going to have a forum that invites anyone and has members from places like Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Iraq, China, Mexico, Chili and other Latin American...and None Western places, don't you think it would be more effective is we have more sensitivity to cultural differences, that is IF you want to communicate.

If your purpose is to say whatever you want to hxxl with everyone else....no matter what, you are well on your way.
