Harmless, surely.

But it is not the first time he says 'Aferin sana, küçük kız'. If you have nothing to say, then don't say it. Don't make offending comments like 'Bravo you little girl'. Not only is it unfair, it makes him look really silly and not that innocent and lighthearted. It makes him seem a little conceited.

I was speaking about his thread topics in general. I should have been more clear.

I think he was being sarcastic or was simply fed up when he made that comment in Turkish, because some of us were ribbing him. I personally didn't think it was offensive but of course we are all entitled to interpret it in the way we see fit. No problem.

Maybe - but not the first time he has made that comment and don't forget this is the person who said in an earlier post that only someone who speaks at least 3 languages can be considered cultured! A tad condescending don't you think

Well I haven't read all his posts . . . it's just that I read the beginnings of his threads mainly and they are hilarious in a ridiculous sort of way. This is why I posted the youtube link . . . I imagined the characters in that clip to be people here at TC . . . the look on the faces of those people as they listened to "Yilgun". I guess I shouldn't make fun of him though. But I have read all of this thread and, on the whole, people have found it quite fun to participate (probably not for the reasons Y originally intended).

Well I am truly sorry if I caused any offence to anyone, that was not my purpose, I was just enjoyiing the humour of the thread, but I have learnt my lesson
I was thinking of composing a letter of apology, but need it translated into. 2 other languages, I don't want to appear ignorant lol
I think I better leave this thread now.

Apart from the famous game of skyscraper, my second favourite game is guessing what silly post will Yilgun produce next. So far, none of my types came true, so I think I'll bet on a post as follows:

"There are many car makes in the world. The most famous are:

BMW
Volkswagen
Audi
Opel
Fiat
Ford
Renault
Mazda
Honda

What cars do people drive? What car is the best?"

And what are your types? lol

I think you are very mean to pinch Yilgun's ideas (I am sure this one is on his list) and you are no good at it anyway because you spelt everything correctly! .

Yes, aferin sana kucuk kiz, I am mean. Hence another idea for a post (do notice my effort to spell incorrectly:

'There are meny mean membres in TC. For exampl:

Daydreamer
Ledy in red
Deli_kizin

Why are they mean? How old are they?

According to obituaries, a mean and useless citizen never dies M.Q"

As usual I am a little late reading this thread, so I want to add my favourites games (or I will stamp and scream until I am sick!)

* Cowboys and Indians - we made bow and arrows from willow and reeds (even with the threat of wiels disease) and guns from sticks
* British Bulldog - tag game, a very "ruff" tag game
* Cops and robbers
* Football
* Snowballs (in winter of course )
* Make tree houses

and of course,

* fishing

So many I can't remember.........

oh and yes, I too was a tomboy, being the only girl in my school year ( just in case you were wondering, and if you are not asleep already, I grew up in a VERY rural area and no we are not all related lol )

and sports

Athletics
* 100m, 200m, 100m hurdles
* shot put and discus
* Netball and hockey

and I think you are all being a bit mean on Yilgin!
