If you want names that "work" both in Eng and Turk:

Aylin (Eileen)
Ela (Ella)
Melisa (Melissa)
Serra (Sarah)
Yasemin (same)
Cansu (Jan Sue)

Whenever someone looks for a turkish baby girl name, I always give my name. So, I won´t break the tradition: MELTEM

Aenigma, it sounds like you were looking forward to his proposition. Well, no problem, you can be his first, as this means being with him the most.

İ think Elif is also popular in Turkey or Burcu. But to be honest the most interesting name i found for my own daugther is Servet.İ know - GS have player with this name but as i understood it can be also girl name.Anyway - most of names are with some meaning so be careful when you chose it and congratulations

It might be the first time ever I agree with you Yilgun..
Öykü is a beautiful name..
All above suggested there are unimaginative , uninspired and lucking of creativity..
Banal yani.

In my opinion "Öykü" is not a good name for a foreign mom because it has turkish characters. When they take the baby to her native country, she will have a lot of difficulties. And in the future, she may want to move to that country as well. That´s why foreign mothers should choose turkish names more carefully.

Servet is generally a name for males. I have never heard of a girl called Servet before .
I like the girl names Selvi or Naz or both Selvi Naz

And I guess we can clearly say that people who select ´asya´ as their daughters name are imaginative , inspired, cultured, sophisticated and creative.. lol lol
