Passing the Second Istanbul Bridge

Hi everyone!
Please, I need to know how to pass Second Istanbul Bridge (Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridge) with foreign car? We are coming from Bulgaria and don´t have OGS, KGS nor tickets, only cash. Does Biletli Geçiş still exists? If yes, where to buy tickets? If not, will we be able to pay at the bridge itself? They say there is something called “Preloaded credit card system†for foreigners, but no one can explain what it is.
Can anyone help?

No man it doesnt exist anymore... to pass the brigde you have to get a KGS,
you can get KGS at the toll boxes with a orange dot, or from isbank or ziraatbank near bridges...

But I´m coming on Sunday, banks don´t work I guess...
Do you maybe know what´s the price of KGS? Is it only for crossing the bridge?

No man
you can use it in any autobahns to go faster if you buy it on tollboxes you can get one for 30 YTL 2,5 liras for card and the rest is loaded in your card... well as far as i remember Ziraat Bank at the entrance of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet koprusu... when you see tollboxes you have to turn right(the last exit before bridge) and fallow the signs for KGS or OGS...

Oh! It can’t be possible! For 30 YTL I can pass all Turkish highways! And what if I only want to get to Asian side of Istanbul?
Is it possible that I can’t pass the bridge for 3.25 YTL as every Turkish car?
Btw, I don’t know if you say “man” to everyone, but I am a girl

No no! i use it for like friend, dude etc.
The card itself is 2,5 YTL as i told you or 3 i dont remember... if you have a car not midibus or truck... you will pass for 2,6 YTL i guess If you catch the banks open you can get loaded your KGS as much as you wanted! and another option is to pass the bosphorous with the ferry you can go down to gallipoli over Canakkale!!

Oh, that is the point! You buy the card for 2,5 YTL, and if you buy it in a bank, you can load it only for passing the bridge, but if you buy it on the bridge, you must take the one of 30 YTL, am I right?
Yes, I know about the ferry, but I don´t think I will go to Ankara via Çanakkale...

There is also a ferry from Sirkeci to Harem, and harem directly connects to highway of Ankara
You can go to Sirkeci by following the E5(D-10 main road with going to Eminonu-Sirkeci direction...

I hope I will find someone to buy me a KGS in bank so that we can use the bridge, not a ferry

You dont need to go to a bank.
The lanes at the bridge are marked clearly:
OGS for those who have the credit system.
KGS for those who already have the KGS card.
KGS satis: here you buy a card.
The KGS satis lanes are towards the right.
Hope you have a good trip!

Thank you very much, Marion
I understood that we can buy a card at the bridge. But the question is - what is the price of it? If it is 30 YTL (as SuiGeneris said), it is too much for just crossing the bridge. We won´t pass so many haighways in Turkey to spend all credits from the card.
But in a bank we can buy a card with less credits/lower price.
Did I understand well?

For people visiting our country from abroad, sale of KGS cards has started at the entrance to the highway at Edirne, so that they can pass through the toll roads and bridge tolls without any problems. With a card costing on average 40 YTL you can go on the toll roads and cross the bridge.
For your information.

Now I understand.
We must stop in Edirne anyway, so we can also buy a card there.
Thank you very much, Marion
