Since ramadan/ramazan is starting, there will be many incidents ranging from closure of messes, cafes, halls (of course for renevation!!)  to beatings of infidels who dont fast.

I think, it will be a good idea too keep all the incidents under one thread and make an anlysis in the end about how peaceful the ramadan has gone in Turkey (and maybe, in the world)..

I am expecting a great contribution from my Chinese friend Zhang Ziyi..

I am honored to be called your friend, especially after you were promoted to a Vice-Admin.

Thank you for seeing me worthy and asigning to such duties of highly importance. I will as usual do my best and keep an eye upon the vulnerable countries including your Motherland during this long month of Ramadan to report on incidents and events with accuracy and attention.

Dear Mod, stop following me, otherwise I will have to report on you to the Vice-Admin. Besides it was his idea to appoint me to such a task. All complaints must be filed to the Admin or Vice-Admin.

However, I will repost my articles according to the rules.

UK Muslims Impose Ramadan Fasting Rules on Non Muslim Councillors

If there was ever any question that Britian´s Labour government was working hand and hand with muslims to Islamicize Great Brtain than the below story should eliminate any doubts you may have had.

Or has the phrase "Give them an inch.. and they´ll take a mile" ever been more appropriately used then when telling about how Labour Party muslims, sitting on London´s Towel Hamlets council a ("muslim rich" area), with the blessing of the Labour gov´t bigwigs, have told all the NON MUSLIMS on the board that they MUST observe Ramadan and it´s Islamic rules.

Here is the link (for Canli)

Ramadan causing clock confusion

CAIRO, Egypt - The start of the holy month of Ramadan next week is causing clock confusion in the Middle East. Egypt and the Palestinians are falling back an hour far earlier than usual, trying to reduce daylight hours for Muslims fasting until sunset in sweltering summer temperatures.

I will agree with that.

There have been longer articles in the past and very very long posts..

So a warning would do much better than deleting. And sometimes, a whole article makes more sense than the small section of it..

And also, mods should be reminded that in this type of web sites ´THE POSTERS HAVE RIGHTS TOO´ as their posts makes the sites as what they are, not the mods!!!

Thanks for reposting them zhang ziyi.

And I completely agree with you, just the same message I have sent to Lady in Red, mentioning that other users like Roswitha (no offence, please, Roswitha) were just warned and never deleted.

Thehandsom, your opinion makes sense, it is more comfortable to read them right in the forum than loading into another website. If links are wanted I will do my best not to forget them, I can understand that some of us need links to confirm if the information posted is indeed from mass media sources or any other.

Somali insurgents vow more attacks during Ramadan

By MOHAMED OLAD HASSAN

Associated Press Writer

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) -- Somali insurgents vowed on Wednesday to intensify their attacks during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, as the capital erupted in violence that forced residents to cower in their homes for hours.

Also, France´s Foreign Ministry said pirates off Somalia seized a sailboat carrying two French citizens and took them hostage. Wednesday´s hijacking is the ninth by Somali pirates since July 20, and occurred in the Gulf of Aden, which connects the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean and is one of the world´s busiest waterways. A Cabinet minister of the semiautonomous northeastern Somalia region of Puntland, Ahmed Said Awnur, said his government had received information about the hijacking but had no details.

In Somalia, citizens suffer near daily explosions of bloodshed, and thousands of civilians have been killed since Islamic fighters began an Iraq-style insurgency in December 2006, after they were driven from power in Mogadishu and much of the south.

"If we die while fasting for the sake of Allah, we will go to heaven,´´ a 26-year-old Islamic fighter, Abdi Yusuf, told The Associated Press by telephone. "So there is no reason why we shouldn´t intensify the fighting.´´

Ramadan began on Monday, and Wednesday´s violence killed at least four people, although the death toll could be higher, witnesses said.

Military spokesman Mohmoud Dhere declined to comment on casualties. But he criticized the insurgents for "destabilizing the country.´´
