Hello,

Maybe anyone can suggest me what could i do in Ankara to spend the time? I am not talking about working. A Church Choir would do great but i think it cant be, right?

That activity should be for free, can be doing something voluntary... {#lang_emotions_smile}

I will ask around. I have many friends in Ankara (only just saw this thread). I have a friend who is in the ´administration´ of the international students organisation AEGEE. Not sure if you ened to be a student to be in it, but they organize meetings that can help you also get to know some turkish people in ankara and learn about Turkey.

Try Tango. I havent been to turkey but my husband is a good tango dancer and he says Tango is becoming very popular in Turkey. At least that´s what he´s been told, he hasnt been to Turkey either

They are having an international tango festival in Istanbul in july 2009.

 Giving back to society is great..a church choir is positive..however, how about feeding the homeless..I´m sure you will find plenty of voluntary programs in Ankara.

 Yes. Actually you could just walk in any church. I realized churches in TR have many connections (maybe everywhere, I just never really came to churches in the netherlands) and they can help you to find other people who need help somewhere or have projects running.
