Today is the first day of the autumn equinox

Autumn FrostAutumn FrostAutumn FrostAutumn Frost

AUTUMN
by Christopher Brennan

Autumn: the year breathes dully towards its death,
beside its dying sacrificial fire;
the dim world´s middle-age of vain desire
is strangely troubled, waiting for the breath
that speaks the winter´s welcome malison
to fix it in the unremembering sleep:
the silent woods brood o´er an anxious deep,
and in the faded sorrow of the sun,
I see my dreams´ dead colours, one by one,
forth-conjur´d from their smouldering palaces,
fade slowly with the sigh of the passing year.
They wander not nor wring their hands nor weep,
discrown´d belated dreams! but in the drear
and lingering world we sit among the trees
and bow our heads as they, with frozen mouth,
looking, in ashen reverie, towards the clear
sad splendour of the winter of the far south.

I love autumn... unfortunately we don´t get much of it here at all - if any! But I have great memories of autumn in Poland... oh... nostalgia... {#lang_emotions_cry}

The beautiful colors of the trees, the chilly weather that´s not too cold yet, but you can get that warm sweater out of the closet and sit in the evening with a cup of hot chocolate... the walks to the woods to pick mushrooms... the thought of snow and Christmas coming...

No bother

But I have to tell you Cat´s image of golden leaves and sweater-temperature is a bit idyllic lol You may also want to imagine heavy rains, grey, cloudy days and chilly temperatures. I miss Polish autumns

Autmn here (which is now) is basically normal day temps which might be stil considered pretty hot by some ppl (ME!!!) and chilly night

late autmn, it gets chilly in the mornings, mena stake a blazer or a light jacket to school in the morning, youll probbaly ahve it off byt he end of the day, and night becomes cold, meaning you have to sleep in pants, american kind pants not british lol, I mean in the end dont sleep in shorts!!! (american kind   )lol

so i guess its acceptable

but id really like some cloudy windy days to go along with it

(i mean windy without sand, coz here in like april its so windy and theres so much sand!!)

anyway..

id think id like a european autmn more...

hows autmn in different parts of Turkey??

Do you want to swap? 15 degrees during day, 3-5 during night, hardly any summerdays, lots of rain, grey sky, autumn storms coming in about 1 month etc.
