Traces of potentially dangerous medicines may be contaminating tap water and putting unborn babies at risk, scientists have warned.

When a mod writes such things, one wonders to whom one should complain about personal insults in posts.....

(As this is not Turkey related, shouldn´t this be in off topic?  DO YOUR JOB! )

 Admin disagrees with you!

"The title ´News articles, events, announcements´ is somewhat generic but this forum is intended for news, events, announcements that relate to this website, Turkey or Turkish language. News or opinions about other topics should be in the ´Off-Topic´ forum. "

I don´t think you need to apologise - it seems the mods are in a confusion as to the rules of this forum anyway

Anyway...to return to subject

I think people have been aware of this, worldwide, for a while now.  Certain drugs, particularly female hormones excreted by women taking the contraceptive pill, escape the water filtration systems all over the world.

I have not googled for an update, but I know that a few years ago scientists were finding that many male marine lifeforms were exhibiting female charactistics, including smaller (or no) male reproductive organs.

The scientists were somewhat alarmed when they examined the figures for the decrease in human male fertility and the reduction in size of penis in areas where Oestrogen was present in the water systems.

I guess the prediction is that in a few years time men in the west will have teeny weeny ones and we will have to look to the east for fun! lol

To be fair lesluv did say this post was a possible link to something that happened in Turkey but I have moved it anyway as you asked.

Lesluv I have also moved your post ´not just manflu´ to General/Offtopic as this clearly isn´t Turkey related (although my husband is ´dying´ with manflu at the moment - I hope he´s not the first victim here {#lang_emotions_unsure})

Oh please ... possible link?!?!?!?! lol

So STILL you disagree eh?  Meltem says that ANYTHING can be posted in that section, but you say it should be about Turkey (even if it is a nebulous thought!!!).

(PS: I will keep this campaign going until I get my Avatars!!!!! )

I didn´t say that section should be about Turkey - you just quoted the forum rules and the flu virus story had to do with UK and Australia not Turkey so I moved it

Stop trying to pick an argument with me just because you´re bored with arguing with Canli and Mltm!!

OK, according to a post from the admin about the contents of this section, it should be off-topic.

However, from what I see, this section is a sub-section of OTHERs with some other sections and it is not listed under TURKEY. And except the post from the admin, there´s nothing that would prevent users to post any news and articles. Therefore, it is something that causes confusion. I think we should fix it. There should be a note about the content on the main page as it is with Turkish politics.

I am always wary of small print

Are you saying you made a mistake?!  I don´t think that will EVER happen

Anyway - good luck with the "note" and in asking Admin for our avators
