 Maybe you are right. Amsterdam airport is really good, I liked especially the fact that there´re trains accessible directly from the airport to anywhere in the Netherlends. In Istanbul it´s not that practical.

Well, I actually hate that airport in Amsterdam, it´s the only one that asks the 3 big questions: have you packed the bags yourself, has anybody give you any items to carry, have your bags been in your possession all the time!!!!!??? {#lang_emotions_you_crazy}{#lang_emotions_scared}

Nobody else does it except for Amsterdam airport!!! I am trying to avoid connecting there at all cost! {#lang_emotions_ninja}{#lang_emotions_super_cool}

Hey ladies, where are your lists?

Amsterdam Schiphol

Athens

Münster

Münich

Köln/Bonn

Chania (Crete)

Istanbul Atatürk

Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen

Ýzmir Adnan Menderes

I especially come to Amsterdam Schiphol a lot because my connecting train to university goes from there I often think I should get another connection instead.

As for questionary: 2 weeks ago upon arrival in Cologne, they took me aside and unpacked my entire suitcase just next to where ´unquestioned´ people proceeded. I asked if this was general procedure ´yes it was, especially for people travelling alone´. Well I travel from Cologne frequently and Ive never been through this procedure. They were making a problem of the cellphone I bought in TR (a ´gift´ and I had to pay a fee on the 2nd cigarette box I bought. Id rather have them sealing my luggage and xraying it many times instead of having a strange man going through my luggage in public!

I don’t know all the airport names but I will put them in where I know them. Here is my non-alphabetized list -

San Francisco - Los Angeles - Portland - LaGuardia - Midway - O’Hare - Sky Harbor - Phoenix - McCarran - St. Louis - Denver - Reagan National - Hartsfield - Heathrow - Athens - Tehran - Kerman - Auckland - and Melbourne

Edit - Don´t know how I could...but I forgot Montego Bay!!!

Billund - Copenhagen - Hamburg - Amsterdam Schiphol - Köln - München - Paris Charles de Gaulle - London Gatwick - London Heathrow - Milan Malpensa - Venice - Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen - Istanbul Atatürk - Ankara - Antalya - Van - Miami Intl. - Orlando

Maybe a couple more. Now that you mention Schiphol, my experience is that it´s great  for transfer, but if you are checking in there for the first time it´s hard to find one´s way. But nothing beats Paris CDG - I´ve never seen such a chaotic airport, never! Once on a connecting flight for Istanbul I almost didn´t make it though I was running through the airport, only stopping at signs for directions, which were so cluttered. Finally I made it as the last person boarding, only to learn that my baggage didn´t - apparently they didn´t have enough time to bring that {#lang_emotions_you_smartass}I´m definitely going to avoid CDG at any cost in the future.

 As for me, nearly all the destinations are in Turkey and Germany, which means I am trying to get from my house to Kadir´s And I make time for it lol

And you may say that us ´westeners´ travel so much, but look at it this way: for me to fly to London, Paris or Berlin, is for an Istanbullu to go on holiday in Antalya or Bodrum   But this ofcourse, leaves all the ´over-ocean´ and far Asian destinations aside

 No.. the CH sound in Dutch is a quite rough throat sound that not many foreigners can make, especially in combination with an S, it makes it sound harder and harder to pronounce as wel

I know! They even have perfect accent! {#lang_emotions_confused}

 Its really a misunderstanding that Dutch people have a good comprehension of English and a good English accent (or American whatsoever).  Maybe its because you tourists attrack educated people or smt or because you only visit the very touristic areas But I know a whole bunch of Dutch people who speak ´coal´ English with a very bad Dutch accent.

One only has to hear Balkenende (Harry Potter) speak English, and that is how the general Dutch speaking English sounds, if they would have their speeches written for them by someone fluently in English

I tend to think though, that because the Dutch language doesnt have a very strong accent or melody like for example French and German do, it is easier for native Dutch to learn to speak another tongue quite well.

 I´m starting to wonder the same about Turkish these days.. I´m so over my top of what I can learn here (without too much effort), that I can only hope I will move back before I lost it ´all´.
