I am a little troubled by my sore feet and aching legs................................ but it is self inflicted. We had this brain wave, (or I did  ), that we could hike from Ramsgate to Canterbury just a mere 22 miles or so and just over 10 hours later we arrived...................

You managed it in just 10 hours........
It would have taken me much longer because there are lots of good pubs between Ramsgate and Canterbury. And it would have been silly to pass them when not driving!!!
