44 sheep sacrificed in Van to honor Obama victory

Residents of a predominantly Kurdish village in eastern Turkey have sacrificed 44 sheep to celebrate the election of Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States. Villagers in Çavuþtepe, in the province of Van, which borders Iran, held Obama posters smeared with blood...

I find it hard to comment really.  I guess 40 sheep out of the millions slaughtered each year is not really so much.

They are probably slaughtered in a far more humane way than most slaughterhouses, so as a "veggie" it has little or no effect on me

The thing here is that, not the slaughtering of sheeps..

Its the fact that they did this because Moslim rooted Obama is a new president!!

Now U.S. will try to gain back the sympathy for all over the world as black and moslim rooted president they have...

It is strange to have a present who was not even accepted to the congress of democrat party till 2001...

but i have to congragulate him and his wife´s success on their career...

Islam rooted maybe, but converted to Christianity.  Doesn´t that make him the worst, most hated kind of all?

Oh dont use this as a reason to kill him

Obama is no good... simply stating Turks as "invaders" while talking to Greek loby in US

and stating "I will make Turkey to establish Kurdistan"...

but we will see

I don´t find him attractive at all (he is too shaved and too taken for my taste) but there is something on him that got me to like him. (Inner peace maybe?) Something that I couldnt feel while watching McCain.

As for Teas... I don´t think she´d hurt me. Never did while I was hating Bush anyway

She´d have a full time job hurting all the people who hated Bush, who was extremely absent during all the presidential campaigns. Have to say I liked him more that way

Well, how fit you are depends on how fit you want to be and not necessarily on your age.

I am almost 42 but I can still outplay many young people in a basketball game.

Sorry to post it in turkish, but it just brought to my mind the article that Ýlhan Selçuk wrote today about this matter. I´m posting it for the turkish users who would be interested in.

Whoever the president is, the USA is the USA and their politics of exploiting the world will go on in one way or another, maybe not that violently as today, but will go on.
