Condeming Terrorism and Mumbai

It is fine to condemn the terrorism and the terrorists in generic terms and also in the individual cases like Mumbai where Islamic terrorists planned to kill 5000 but got short by reaching only around 200.
Now everybody blames Pakistan again..Although I agree with the idea that some of the blames should go to Pakistan, but what about India which promised to hold referendum in Kashmir since 1947 but never honoured it? Instead they tied their army in there and they created the most heavily militarized zone on earth (1 soldier per 10 civilians)
I think, you can not get rid of terrorism unless you get rid of what is causing it ..

I was sort of tongue in cheek with the religion as a cause (I don´t think it´s a direct cause, but definitely a contributing factor), but the topic intrigued me enough to do some research. I found this article http://www.meteck.org/causesTerrorism.html, which I found to be very interesting. Definitely it points out that there´s no single cause of terrorism. So how can we get rid of the cause if we can´t even isolate it?

well..Americans can start by trying to solve the palestinian-israeli problem by not backing Israel in every single opportunity which is Al qaida´s main propaganda and if it is done, I think, they will find hard to bring new reqruits..
Iraq and Afghanistan are two major sticking points as far as the west is concerned since W Bush created a huge mess there. In my mind, it will take years to clear..
If they deal with that mess then the west can start to feel secure again.
Between India and Pakistan, I dont think these terrorists activities will stop until injustice in Kashmir is corrected..

I hope you don´t mean that acts of terrorism are ok, because the Americans, Jews, (and you forgot to throw the Christians in the mix) brought it on themselves? In my book there´s a difference between an act of war and an act of terrorism. Whereas I agree with you on the main points (about USA supporting Israel - you need to consider the huge Jewish lobby in the USA as well to understand why, and about the huge mess created by Bush), I don´t think that´s justification for terrorism. And let me remind you, the wars were a response to acts of terrorism (9/11/01) and not vice versa. When it comes to India and Pakistan, I´m not sure if it is about Kashmir ... the terrorists did target mainly Americans, Brits, and Jews (based on the reports I´ve seen). It seems to me to be another act against the "evil West".

but America had been involved in acts of terrorism before 9/11. Those who did 9/11 were the terrorists of America, their weapons were supplied by means of the taxes paid by Americans. These terrorists were not called terrorists by their ally America when they were in favor of their boss and terrorising the other parts of the world like Russia.
why do we refer to these puppets as "terrorists" but not to their boss? and what is going on in Iraq is not an act of war, it`s a genocide. America invaded Iraq with no legitimate reason, and genocided 1000,000 of people. No reason at all. How do you relate this to the terrorism of 9/11? The only terrorist I can see in Iraq is the American army.

Wow..using your thought process....I could buy a gun at the local gun shop, shoot my neighbor and blame the gun shop for selling it to me. You obviously are still in denial of your own countries genocide...but I understand it´s easier to swallow when you can point the finger. No one believes what happened in Iraq was a genocide....but keep telling yourself if that makes you feel better.
