Dünya böyle giderse, yakýnda, bir tane elmayý ya da armutu, 5 dolara satýn aldýðýnda, hanyayý konyayý görürsün, býrak ekmek ve meyve yemeyi, ot yemeyi bile artýk rüyanda görmeye baþlarsýn.

This is a very important issue Yilgun, too many ignore the issue. With fuel shortage and water problems, many will have to look to new methods of satisfying their needs.
Oxfam is looking into this problem.
Agricultural ecologist Sir Gordon Conway delivered the 2008 Norman Borlaug Lecture from Iowa State University. He was one of the first to define the concept of sustainable agriculture.Sir Gordon pioneered integrated pest management in Borneo (Malaysia) in the 1960s, and developed agroecosystems analysis in Thailand. He has also been professor of Environmental Technology at Imperial College in London (1970-86), worked for the Ford Foundation in New Delhi (1988-92), and was elected as president of The Rockefeller Foundation in 1998.

The world people? You mean the people of the rich and developed world. That is worth saving seeds for. Africa has been having an ´agricultural crisis´ since ´year and day´.

The food crisis isn´t coming, the food crisis was already going on pre-financial crisis.
The biggest problem with food in the world isn´t that there isn´t any food, but that it is simply very very VERY badly shared across the world. Think about how much food people in some countries throw away everyday. Or about the food that is disposed by supermarkets because it is over the selling date...people could have eaten that...or the agricultural products that are destroyed because Western farmers produced more then their quotas.... it´s a shame.

Don´t get me started Barba!! The amount of food wasted in the UK is disgusting!!!!
We throw away £10bn of food in the uk each year which is something like 6.3 million tonnes.
1.3 million un-opened yogurts is top of the list of waste
Just have a look at the first couple of pages of this WRAP report to give you some idea of the incrediable amount of food wasted in the UK.

If I were prime minister I would ban sell by dates!!!
