Mrs Anita Torpmann of the Netherlands was astounded about the letter from her estranged Turkish husband´s advocate, advising her that the man was ´demanding 77,500 Euros in damages for her ´being a bad housewife´.

The Dutch daily Telegraaf reports that 49-year-old Mrs Torpmann lived with her husband in Heerlen in The Netherlands for seventeen years. She sued for divorce in Maastricht in March 2007 and he returned to Turkey.

Two years later, he lodged a divorce action of his own - and demands 77,500 Euros in damages from her. His list of complaints all centre about her lack of interest in housekeeping - and the list is long:

Apparently his largest complaint is that she ´refused to iron his shirts´ because it´s mentioned several times. She also ´behaved coldly towards Turkish and other foreign friends. She kept a ´dirty and cluttered household."
And horrors of horrors, she ´never packed his suitcase whenever he travelled on family visits or for business...´

************

OMG, not ironing your husbands´ shirts is a reason to get sued? Geez, what´s the problem with this mans hands?

Do you have any candidates for me to try that obedience, serving and thankfulness on?
