´English Defense League´ Riot in Birmingham
Authorities arrested 90 people after violence erupted between a group holding an anti-Islamist protest and counter-demonstrators in the central English city of Birmingham, police said Sunday.
VIOLENT thugs brought Birmingham to a standstill yesterday as they rampaged through the city centre, brandishing sticks and hurling bricks at massed ranks of riot police.
It was the second time in a month that rival rallies by the the right-wing English Defence League sent scared shoppers scattering in search of safety.
Cops had been aware for four weeks that the English Defence League planned a second rally in the city, after an August 8 protest ended in violence and arrests.
But negotiations with the group counted for nothing when the protesters ignored an agreed schedule, and made their way into the New Street area to confront anti-fascist rivals.
What followed was more than three hours of running battles in the streets. Terrified shoppers locked themselves inside stores and cafes as they tried to avoid the fighting.
By the end of the afternoon, cops had arrested more than 90 people as they struggled to prevent the protests spilling over

I hate to say it, but sometimes I do feel that if people hate the Western values and do not want to respect the laws and values of the HOST country, then maybe they should move/go back to a country that does embrace the value that they cherish. If they want sharia law, they don´t have to try to change the British legal systems, there are already countries who do have those laws in place and I´m sure they would be very welcoming.

canim, you don´t understand that what they want is "world domination" and spineless countries like Britain don´t know what to do with it...

The muslim protestors´ photos were apparently taken in February 2006 outside the Danish Embassy and the BNP nazi thugs - I´m not sure they would refer to themselves as ´christians´- were photographed a couple of days ago. Where did you get your original article from btw - I never saw any English newspaper refer to the police as ´cops´?

I think that in the current situation of Muslims in the West -- the propaganda and the actual problem of islamic intolerance, and then the western backlash to these, the real problem are people like tami, who respond to this issue with hatred and racism. It is them who incite the racism and hatred, in place of providing truth to dispell myths and create bridges... oh well!

so there had never been christian nazis before februray 2006?
it doesn`t matter whether you know or not, but the bnp and all the nazist organizations are christian entities and they don`t even hide it;
"BNP ‘reverend’ Robert West is running for a seat in the European elections in June 2009. The BNP itself often claims to represent British Christianity.
According to the BNP’s founder, “our religion is our race.”

ahahahha, islamic intolerance and "western backlash"? you mean fascist christian nazist crimes? how many christians get killed by muslims a year in Europe? Nearly zero. and how many muslims get killed by christian nazis a year in Europe? tens of muslims get killed by christian nazis every year in Europe. they get killed in custody by police, they get burnt to death, they get stabbed, they get attacked. and the real problem are people like you who support the christian nazist fascism.

I was just answering your question ´who says they came first?´ by telling you when that protest took place.
I haven´t looked at the video but the final couple of paragraphs in the link you quoted read like this:
The BNP’s version of Christianity is incredibly warped and racist, characterised by alliances with Christian identity movements rather than any mainstream Christian groups. The BNP itself is still a Nazi organisation. Its political philosophy is based off fascist interpretations of paradise. Its dealings with Christianity are shallow and superficial, lacking any constructive engagement with religious texts and instead attempting to use Christianity as a cultural identity marker to connect with white Britons in order to exclude minorities. According to the BNP’s founder, “our religion is our race.” The BNP’s “Christianity” should be recognised for what it is and rejected by all.

that`s just what the christian writer of the article suggests, likewise ask any muslim and he will say al qaida is not muslim. I used that link to quote what the bnp itself says about its links to christianity not to point out what a christian writer tells about bnp, and the bnp clearly says that they are christian.

how many christians get killed by muslims a year in Europe? Nearly zero. and how many muslims get killed by christian nazis a year in Europe?
Hmm, let´s throw some numbers here:
London, UK - 2005 - 56 dead (including the 4 Muslims who carried out the attacks) and 700 injured.
Madrid, Spain - 2004 - 191 dead, 2050 injured.
Today´s news talk about another attack prevented that would have had an estimated 2,000+ death toll.
This are just the most obvious examples.
Nearly zero what?

Tami, look. There are many denominations in Christianity, and they can´t even communicate between each other, the main currents are Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox. Jehowa Witnesses call themselves Christian but are not recognised by the main stream as Christians, the same with Mormons. What you do is put an equation mark between western and Christian and it is wrong. Even when people tell you like I did that they´re atheist you still can´t react in any other way than talk about your prophet Jesus as mine Which is kind of stupid as he´s as important to me as you are
If you´d like to get a bigger erection, check out The World Church of the Creator, that´ll keep ya going for a while
The statistics about the number of deaths are as pointless as your rage, compare what percentage of Muslim inhibitants in Europe dies and what percentage of non-Muslims in Muslim countries do. Or, check if Muslims are the biggest group of victims of murder in Europe. Perhaps it´s simply the fact that the crime rate in Europe is high, not a global conspiracy against your folk
And I just wondered...if Christians wanted to protest in Muslim countries with signs like "death to Muslims" or "Mohammet was wrong" or "Christianity will prevail" how long would they manage to stay alive?

Ok then we can suggest that christians kill tens of thousands of muslims every year especially in Iraq.

you claim that christians can`t even communicate with each other but 6 christian countries (who can`t even communicate according to you) can make an alliance to invade a muslim country. Have you ever seen 6 muslim countries invading a christian country before?

You really need to brush up on your history child.
US funded anti-Soviet mujahedeen fighters in Pakistan and Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion - those are late 70s/early 80s. They even gave them Stinger missiles! Imagine that. Al Qaeda wasn´t even created until late 80s and has enjoyed zero funding by the US.
It would help to do even a brief google search before you post anything, it´ll help your credibility to at least check your "facts".

"Robin Cook, former British Foreign Secretary from 1997–2001, has written that al-Qaeda and Bin Laden were "a product of a monumental miscalculation by western security agencies," and that "Al-Qaida, literally "the database", was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians."

Yeah, exactly what I said.
Let me repeat it slowly.
US - mujahedeen - Afghanistan - fighting the Soviets - no Al Qaeda at that time
Just because they used the same people to form a new "organization", doesn´t make them a US funded organization.
And then again, that´s really interesting too, so first they take advantage of US support and money to fight the Soviets and after US helps them to kick the Soviets out, then they turn around, form an organization, and complain about the West meddling in their affairs. Hypocrisy at its finest. Too bad US didn´t leave the Afghans to the Soviets, I´d love to see Islam mixed with communism.

If you check how many muslims tortured and killed unlawfully by the fascist middle east goverments you will be surprised about the numbers.
Check the number of turks tortured and killed in Turkish jails..
Check Iran/Syria/Palestine/Egypt/Pakistan/Afghanistan..
Apart from everything else what do you think all those muslims would do if EU opened its gates?
Go and ask the people of muslim countries if they would go and live in EU countries...Including Turkey..
Ask them if they really think that ´in western countries they are torturing muslims´
Ask them to compare the brutality of their own regimes (Turkey is included) to EU countries..
See what you will hear..And it is not a surprise..EVERYBODY KNOWS THE ANSWER..
With the individual cases here and there you can not say EU is paradise but if you are to compare the democratic rights of the people in EU countries (MUSLIMS LIVING IN THERE INCLUDED) with the people of developing middle east or eastern countries, you will ONLY show your level of grasp of the politics..
