I have been told that reading baby/childrens books in turkish will help me with building my vocabulary and making sentences as it did when i was a baby learning english. Does anyone know where i can find any short stories online or to be bought online, because i cant find any..??

I recommend you use real learning materials. Don´t just read and listen or don´t just listen and repeat, but also answer these stories aloud! Study each story again and again until you answer the questions easily and fast. Enjoy learning Turkish.

I am planning to visit a big book store here in Ankara this weekend. I´ll try to remember to take my camera with me and upload the pictures to a photo sharing page. If you guys find something interesting, there´s a chance that I´ll be kind enough to send it. We´ll see.

I have a little surprise for you. I found a short story for children, hanging aroung on our bookself. It was a free attachment to a newspaper. It´s very easy to understand and the illustrations are lovely. It also contains several sentences in past and future tense.

You can download the pages by clicking on the numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Please let me know if the links don´t work.

I´ll be back with more next month.

Have fun!
