Wow really nice! You sound like a native speaker except for a little accent on some wovels. Congrats for being on Hürriyet!

Btw. as a Turkish person I never understood why people are obsessed with foreigners speaking Turkish. They find it amusing and funny most of the time, not mentioning the Turkish Olympics etc. I guess this has to do with the failed Imperial past and the inferiority complex resulting from being a 3rd world country. Oh well..

Hmm no not laughing, I think I wasn´t able to express it with my somewhat poor English. (Doesn´t amusing have some positive connotation? Should´ve looked it up on dictionary Anyway, Turks indeed like it, but I think it is somewhat beyond the borders of normal!

Once again, conratulations. Hurriyet is one of the biggest newspapers in Turkey and its site is one of the biggest news portals!

what imperial past? And this has nothing to do with inferiority complex, i think its rather when a foreigner tries to speak Turkish, they usually sound cute and Turks enjoy it...

Wow...fabulous! You have it all, a beautiful voice, you can carry a tune, and you are pretty.

Your singing is quite beautiful........singing Turkish is not easy for a Westerner....different note system....quarter tones and all.  Most Westerners can´t even hear it, much less sing it.

I think people in every country find when foriegners speaking their language iwith a heavy accent cute and amusing.  Some people even exagerate and keep their accent much longer than they really have to, because it gives them an advantage.

You have quite a good control on your voice. You deserve all the accolades being made.

You need to work on your phrasing a bit. Being able to handle high notes requires professional help. You render the mid-range notes quite correctly. The singing is not exactly Turkish style but it is good.

As for your Turkish, it is quite remarkable that you can render round wovels almost like a native speaker. "ı"s (the ones without a dot) give you away. Intonation is very slightly wrong too.

These are not real problems.  On the contrary, they show how close you are to native like command. I suppose you live(d) here.

Good luck.

Teşekkür ederim. What makes it most rewarding is the fact that I´ve now been learning Turkish completely alone for 4 years, no teacher or anything, just from books and trying to speak with people. I have never lived In Turkiye but believe me one day this is my biggest wish. I know I have lots of improvement to do regards pronounciation but I´m even more determined now. As for the amount of views, I am happy for even 1 person to take time to view the video, but as for so many I am completely overwhelmed.

Congrats! I love it!! And I really like your voice=) not bad at all..

I cannot make any comments on intonation or pronunciation but it was really disturbing to see grammatically incorrect subtitles on Hürriyet´s video..  "bakıpta" and "deyipte" should be instead "bakıp da" and "deyip de"..
