the best way to learn is to google about the lyrics and listen at the same tine the song; i dont know if there are a best singer for that, my point of view; what I can say is that lyrics of Tarkan`s songs are a bit difficult to learn turkish (they are so figurative)

Hi

Try this one by Candan Erçetin, Called ´mühim değil´ - ´not important´,

this was the first song I ever learnt to sing all of the words to, its slow and its repeated twice, it helped me with pronunciation and vocabulary, even helped me understand the word ´diye´ a little better

A good thing I find to do is to listen to the song a couple of times without the lyrics and see how many words you can pick out, even write them down on some scrap paper, and then listen with the lyrics, before you know it you will be able to sing all the words too

Mühim değil

Ne yaptım biliyor musun
Daha çok şarkı söyledim
Sigaraya yeniden başladım
Alışveriş yaptım gereksiz

Ne yaptım biliyor musun
Bol bol seyahat ettim
Hatta yalnızlık çektim
Pişman oldum, kimseye söylemedim

Yani sustum genelde
Bazen de gülümsedim nazikçe
Dinlemediğim belli olmasın diye

Bitti buraya kadarmış dedim
Unuttum bile dedim
Avuttum kendimi sözde
Ama yine de akıyor gözyaşlarım
Islatıyor yastığımı
Seni özlediğim gecelerde

Do you know what i did ?
I sang more songs
I started to smoke again
I did unnecessary shopping

Do you know what i did ?
I travelled abundantly,

Even I suffered loneliness
I regretted, I didn´t tell anyone

I mean I was quiet usually

Sometimes I smiled politely
So it wasn´t obvious that I didn´t listen

I said that its over, it was until now

I even said that I forgot
I consoled myself with words

But still my tears are flowing
They make my pillow wet
In the nights when I miss you

As long as you have the lyrics try to listen to any good song. Without lyrics, if you want to hear the words correctly I am not sure which singer would be good for you.

You may give a try to the following:

- Nilüfer

- Hande Yener

- Fikret Kızılok

- Kıraç

- Barış Manço

etc.

My favorite singer when I listen to English songs was Lionel Richie for example.

"Senden Daha Güzel - Duman" (One of the easiest I´ve ever heard)

"Değirmenler - Şebnem Ferah"

"Kördüğüm - Aslı"

"Tüm Şehir Ağladi -Aslı"

"Sen Ağlama - Badem"

"Biri Bana Gelsin - Ferhat Göçer"

In the beginning you won´t get it perfectly, of course, but it´ll make you get used with turkish words and accent.{#emotions_dlg.bigsmile}

Oh i very much agree with that haha, sometimes his lyrics are quite strange haha, like in his song dudu, these lines...

Ana sütü gibi temiz...
Dudu dudu dilleri

Lıkır lıkır içmeli
Gözleri derya deniz

Pure as mothers milk
her womans lips
should drink hungrily
eyes like the sea

And my personal favourite funny lyrics of all time are...

İçimdeki zemberek kırıldı artık
Tamiri mümkün değilse işte o gün yandık

My internal spring has broken down now
If it can´t be fixed that´s when we´re finished

I mean what the........ haha

I also just wanted to add that turkishcobra has posted a lot of songs with both Turkish and English lyrics and the links to the songs, and I´ve found them really good, if you have a search through you should find some good ones, and you don´t even have to go searching for the lyrics!

My favourite WTF lyrics are from Yaşar´s Masal:

Burkar içimi bir sızı içim boğulur
Sanki peri padişahının kızı
Bu kadar naz, sabır kalmaz
Etme ne olur

Sarkar içime bir hasret içimde durur
Sanki anka kuşu musun mübarek
Kavurup kasıp, sırra kadem basıp
Gitme ne olur

Masal bu ya oldu ya
Cezbime tutuldu ya kaçma
Böyle biri karşına kaç kere çıkar

Geldi deli efkarın içimi sardı
Gir sinemin sinemin içine yar
Bak yaş oldun didemin ucunda varsın
Ak sinemin sinemin içini sar

Burkar içimi bir sızı içim boğulur
Sanki peri padişahının kızı
Bu kadar naz, sabır kalmaz
Etme ne olur

Bu hayal meyal masal hep okuduğum mu
Seni ejderhanın elinden alıp koruduğum mu
Hani kahramanlar gibi sevecekken seni
Masal bitti yaş akacak bak farketmedin mi?

Geldi deli efkarın içimi sardı
Gir sinemin sinemin içine yar
Bak yaş oldun didemin ucunda varsın
Ak sinemin sinemin içini sar

Yalnız varsız demektir
Elsiz kolsuz demektir
Kalan yalnız kalırsa
Giden insafsız demektir

Geldi deli efkarın içimi sardı
Gir sinemin sinemin içine yar
Sen bitmişsin kuşlar gider
Dostlar gitmiş
Bir varmışsın, bir yokmuşsun …

lol
