Hehe! Damn it!! At school i was taught that usually the first word in the dictionary is the best when only 2 are mentioned without further explanation. But everytime i do this with my pocket dictionary, others tell me the word is out of date.

Ohh hey is there something like a Turkish Oxford dictionary? I mean on the standards of Oxford and just Turkish-Turkish like Turkish intellectuals would have in their bookcase?

Btw instead of explaining about my dictionary, i also could've said that i was just preparing for my study in Turkish Language and Literature hehe

hmmm...
you forced me to write in turkish.
ok ...

Maybe, you'd better change that dictionary, otherwise you'll end up speaking a very good old turkish, but no Turk understands you
But anyway as you said, you have to know all these and speak a much richer Turkish since you are going to study literature.

There're dictionaries of Türk Dil Kurumu from turkish to turkish. TDK is the establishment(institute?) of turkish language.
They have an online dictionary as well,http://www.tdk.org.tr/TDKSOZLUK/SOZBUL.ASP?kelime=&submit1=Ara
