that song has an ordinary format with routine sound.
if we can't submit a 'shaking' format again, we can't win.
look at the last year's winner's song style, ruslana's style (ukranian winner) & show, and of course our sertab's winner song & that great show..
i hate the regulations of TRT. their mind is old-fashioned.

last year the winner was greece..
Ruslana's song was really best..i m still listening her..
and i agree with you .. there is a big problem with TRT ..i dont know how they can choose a song like - rimi rimi ley -..silly people

Has anybody seen the video clip of the greek song?
Oh it's such a good advertisement for Greece!

picture this:

A sexy woman, driving a cabrio...She stops at the fuel station and two guys with a bike steal her wallet. Then she has to hitchhike, so she enters a truck and the driver starts to caress her leg with a dirty-wild look in his pathetic face.....

Well i didnt have the guts to watch it till the end, but i m sure there must be a rape somewhere later!

For god's sake yaaa! What a "cultural" work that video was!

Being away from Greece, I have not seen "our, Greek" videoclip, but after reading Sophie's message I am sure it is a disaster!
What about the song? Voice of Vissi is nice , but this is not enough I think!

I uploaded the Dutch entry, you can download it if you like it.

Ohh and they don't sing in Dutch The band is famous here for their self-created language on vocal-sounds/syllables. So except for the English sentences, the 'amambanda' isn't Dutch hehe.

They must get through the first competitions at the 18th of may to actually get to the Eurovision.. I like this song much better than the other entries of previous years in HOlland, as they simply sucked totally. Let me know whatyou think.

Btw, I don't like the Turkish song at all. Well it's fine, but not good enough i think and definitely below Turkish standards.

Click here for Dutch entry - Treble with Amambanda

I've just watched our stage show. This year the dancers are 5 well-built men. I hope in the real show they will move more and with a better choreography because there's nothing at all. Sibel should have taken some dance lessons (or did she already?) because even in the belly dance part of the song, she stays so still. There should be more energy and aesthetics!
And I hated the hair color of her. She's died her hair very fair whitish blonde which doesn't go well with her. She looks like sick. She was much better with her real brown hair.

Yeah I know I would make a great singer, but dont you think Ramayan could wear his old torn jeans and move his hips like our Sakis Rouvas did the year that Ruslana won? He came second this way! And he didn't even have Ramayan's...talent!

OK - good thinking. Right - change of plan. Ramayan is our "front man", Deli_kizin is on piano, and you and me....we are the dancers either side (see your second pic) With all that raw magnetism on stage, how could we fail to win?

I used to like Sibel Tuzun in the past. I dont know what happened to her later times. She would be a superstar like in her song.
This song is not good. Turkey does not have any chance. Maybe some people vote for this beautiful lady and we earn some points.

And erhm a question for Sophie.. today i found a very old LP from Anna Vissi, must have been from the seventies.. it was sweet, but she had such a good voice there. What happened to it

Sibel deserved more votes if you asked me. I thought many songs sucked so the Turkish one (who was bad too if u ask me) was good comparing to the others.

Yeah true. And some of them were half naked. I don't know, maybe it's because i'm not lesbian but i always think that when a woman can dance well, she looks much more attractive in clothes, because if she's half-naked, you can see her bones n stuff n that's everythin but sexy

Though i think Sweden had the strongest voice. And she looked like one of those from Abba

There was also a 'ninaninja' (or somethign) song that i liked, and i liked the 'loco choco' one (I'm horrible in remembering names at first 'sight').

But Anna Vissi looked quite young, she must be around 50, if not older

Hmm yeha but what did you all think of the Dutch vote-man? I was just saying to my mum that everybody must be sure that Dutch people indééd are rude Because he was being quite rude But because us Dutchies know him, we love him. He can be offensive in a way that nobody blames him. Hmm but hse's got really young skin. My mum wouldn't believe it firstly, they had been listening her cd earlier this day in the car and she had a pretty, young face there and she still looked the same. But i think her voice changed also in its sound. Because when i listen old recordings, her voice is more western, mor ebright, it doesn't have the Greek 'charoula' sound, which many Greek women have.

Yeah i realised that. That song wouldve made much more chance. I liekd the dolphins in the openings act though lol

3- Finland

I'd really like Russie to win, everything from the boy himself to the choreography and the song was so nice, but 2nd place is not bad either.
I'm ok with the Finland's song, but I want to throw up when I see them singing.
And, no surprise for the 12 points from the Netherlands, France and Germany. No need to think much lol
And the fact that Armenia got 10 points from Türkiye even though it was the worst song for me must be to make them a bit ashamed I think because I'm sure they never expected even 1 point from us.

haha ok good. Yes Paul de Leeuw said she must have had a runner to the local (Dutch) glasses-shop, but he wasn't aware that those glasses are actually her trademark

Well i think so? She even was in my city 2 months ago. It was sold out when i wanted to buy my mum a ticket for her bday. But i guess we both didn't care that much, because as we saw her now, her shows can't be so good anymore.

Yes i liked Russia too, the piano act was good hehe. I think those clothing of Finland is horrible, and the Dutch commentor told us that they always wear it, because if they wear normal clothes, they feel like the public doesn't get what they deserve for the money they paid for it. Well if i knew i was paying for those freaky creatures, i would ask my money back!!

Yeah, large Turkish communities up here. Couldn't avoid being a bit proud of the votes we gave you though
I must say i was slightly surprised at the votes for Armenia from both Belgium and Holland. I wasn't surprised of the Turkish votes though, because i think there live many Armenian people in Turkey, of which their neighbours aren't even aware they are from Armenia.

I liked the Armenian song a lot, it sounded much more Turkish than the Turksih song! Only the vocal was not that good. I heard that the Armenian singer has been called the best singer of Armenia TWICE, so i wonder what other singers they have. But i liked the music.

Haha ok Yeah, it was gorgeous there. We had our private beach near hte appartment We travelled from Athens to Mykenos, Corinth, back to Athens, then to.. Meteora (OMG that was one of the most impressive thigns ive seen so far), and Kalanera, to Salonica. There we stayed two weeks on Sithonia. We planned to go to Istanbul from tehre, i remember it seemed sooooo far and extremely exotic to me. Now it feel smuch closer. Unfortunately we didn't go, because a month in Greece cost us more than we expected.

I think Izmir is quite like a mixture between Selanik, Marseille and Florence. I liked Thessaloniki a lot, it's were i drank my first cafe frappè

Hmm just give that Vissi woman a call and ask her how she managed to look so young. I won't tell anybody your real age and neither will Sui and then you can marry him and no one will know.

And saying 'if you were not so young', implies that you are 'so old', which i highly doubt. Definitely not at heart & spirit, that's for sure!!

Ahh that explains your perfect Spanish, chicaaa!! Muy bien. Hasta luego, voy estudiar historia (ok i kinda made this last sentence up, so i doubt if anything of it is correct )

I have a friend at Peru. I've also always been intrigued to go there. Anyone here knows a good theory how to convince Kadir that some sort of 'travel around the world' would be very nice for a honeymoon?

I wasn't surprised of the Turkish votes though, because i think there live many Armenian people in Turkey, of which their neighbours aren't even aware they are from Armenia.

I liked the Armenian song a lot, it sounded much more Turkish than the Turksih song! Only the vocal was not that good. I heard that the Armenian singer has been called the best singer of Armenia TWICE, so i wonder what other singers they have. But i liked the music.

Ohh, I don't think so many Armenian people live in Turkey, at least as many as to make it 10 points. And if we made " genocide" there shoouldn't be armenians in Türkiye, just a few.lol.
The problem with the Armenian song was in fact the vocal. His singing was sooo bad that the song doesn't mean anything anymore. Yes, there were a lot of Turkish anatolian "saz" and sounds in it.

Actually its not funny at all to joke about But you still made me smile

Hmm i have to admit this is the first time i dont agree with you There's this book of a woman who found out she was Armenian, but raised as muslim and given a Turkish name, she was adopted by Turkish people. She's a well-known woman in Türkiye i guess, i;m not sure. I think many more examples should live there. But i forgot the title. I havent'read it, as it is only available in Turkish so far. So i can give my personal review in about 5 months (i remain optimistic about my speed of learning turkish, though i didnt learn so fast the last year )

And yeah,, i doubt if we can speak of singing as a matter of fact lol because int he beginning you couldn't even hear him !

Merhaba!
I'd like to say what i think about the topic.
I am a Russian girl, but I wouldn't vote for our Dima Bilan, because i think that Russia should be presented by a hot girl, not a guy who doesn't even look Russian!
But then, I'm half Ukranian, and I really liked the Ukrain's representative. I also liked the Irish singer, although he does need a nice haircut
I think Bosnia&Herzegovina were nice too, and Albania, if I'm not mistaken (kinda forgot already)
But I am so surprised that Fineland won! I was sure they didn't have a slightest chance.. Can anybody explain why this happened?
And at last, Turkish singer... well... I would very much prefer to see Tarkan. My image of Turkey is a hot looking guy with strong voice, just like Tarkan's, so that blonde woman with huge ugly tatoos... Even though i am a fan of Turkey, i wouldn't vote for her.. sorry.
If it is true that next year it's gonna be Tarkan, I will be the first to vote for him!!!

this is named as a Song Contest actually not a representation contest... yeah show is ok
but mind you that we won the song contest with sertab erener...

this not a image of a country show
the song must be represented well... singer wouldnt be the point and nor politics as it doesnt smell anything than politics lately

about finland... ppl were searching for sth different and as the youth loves metal music i didnt surprised

Anyways it's a good show and a nice chance to see what other peoples liste to.

Sibel Tüzün one of the good singers i listen to... and i didnt listen other songs much... but i liked the ukranian one - my little shakira
but i was surprised with armenias points as the singer has nothing with voice... whatever as i saw from the giving points all the counries gave points to the countries they felt familiar or neighbours
we will see what happens next year eh?

Merhaba Arkadaşlar!

I wıll keep on lovıng Sibel Tüzün

SÃœPER STAR
Ay hemen doğmuyorsa, olsun
Gece uzun karanlık, olursa olsun
Gözlerin kamaşıyor, aldırma
Aşka hazır mısın
Bırak seninle olsun duygum
Gözlerini kapat, sus, yüreğin vursun
Işığım aydınlatsın geceyiAşka hazır mısın
Karşında Süperstar Sev beni
Karşında Süperstar Hisset Beni
Karşında Süperstar Yaşat beni
Arzu benim, arzu benim, arzu benim sana

Ay hemen doğmayacak, olsun
Gece uzun karanlık, olsun
Gözlerin kamaşacak, aldırma
Aşka hazır mısın

Bırak durmadan aksın duygun
Gözlerini kapat, yüreğin vursun
Işığım aydınlatsın
Ay hemen doğmuyorsa, olsun
Gece uzun karanlık, olursa olsun
Gözlerin kamaşıyor, aldırma
Aşka hazır mısın?

Karşında süper star – sev beni
Karşında süper star – hisset beni
Karşında süper star – yaşa beni
Arzu benim, arzu benim, arzu benim sana

Because I´m Finnish I have to say I´m really happy that we won for the first time ever!! Even though I didn`t like the song that much or how they looked.

Oh I knew that there would be a way for me to go to Peru without sacrificing my freedom!
Pack your bags aslan! We 're leaving!
Zillionaires? Oh we can forget them for a couple of weeks.
Hey, can we invite my twinny as well? I ll feel divided without her.

Why don't you see it as an opportunity for this website to relax and get serious again?
As long as we are here, there is no such chance

...incredible...the votes for finland must be a reaction against all the botox-pumped women - including the swedish singer! ...but the boy from russia was so cute I could eat him...without sugar... ...and his brothers too...if he has any... lol

Totally agree with u. That 'sweet looking creatures from Finland' looked like a parody of well known band 'Kiss'. Anyway let's live and see which of these songs we will hear from everywhere this year At least the last year winner was very popular in Russia and in Turkey

Hey Ramayan I think it's about time we reveal our secret.
Sooo ladies and gentlemen. It was the TC's band who won the eurovision this year. Yes, we were the Lordi. We were planning to present a great show, but, since Ramayan failed to build a body like Sakis's, we had to cover him completely. And cause of him, also me and Aenigma had to hide our beauties and appear like monsters too.
Now you know the whole story...

But the question -- why are we so disliked? -- lingered.
More than 60 years after World War II ended, there is a sense among Germans that the country is still being penalized for the misdeeds of previous generations.

OMG Do they actually really believe that? I really got no grudge at all about World War II against the new generation of German people and actually only the very old people feel that way. And they are definitely not the ones who are voting!

I wonder if they actually réally listened to their song. I also wonder how they come to think their song was intellectual. It was actually more a bit silly if you ask me.
