one of my favorites :

incitanem

çaresizim mecbur bu veda
kokun üzerimde gidiyorum uzaklara
sığınıp anılara bu hasrete dayanırız elbet
ümidimiz muradına erecek sabret

sabret, sabret inci tanem
bekle beni
döneceğim mutlaka sabret
ağlama ne olur, vazgeçme bekle beni
döneceğim mutlaka sabret

vız gelir dağlar denizler yaban eller
sevmeye engel değil mesafeler
geçici bu ayrılık bir rüya farzet
sonunda zafer bizim olacak, sabret

sabret, sabret inci tanem
bekle beni
döneceğim mutlaka sabret
ağlama ne olur, vazgeçme bekle beni
döneceğim mutlaka sabret

My first ever experience of Tarkan, like so many english people I suspect, was Şimarık. I still love it and it was the first Turkish song i learned to sing. Imagine how rich he became just on that song alone, which is still so popular and must be at least 10 years old.

I also love Bu Gece, (the disco version) which reminds me of hot summer nights.
Actually I cant think of a single song of his that I dont like.
Sophie, I'll remember the invitation to come and stay! (and i'm not joking)

If Tarkan ever decides to try out heterosexuality, I'll be just the woman to assist!

MY PEARL
çaresizim mecbur bu veda
im helpless, this goodbye has to be
kokun üzerimde gidiyorum uzaklara
with your smell on my body,im going a long way
sığınıp anılara bu hasrete dayanırız elbet
sheltering in our past, we should be able to hold on
ümidimiz muradına erecek sabret
our wishes will come true, hold on

sabret, sabret inci tanem
bekle beni
hold on ,my pearl ,wait for me
döneceğim mutlaka sabret
i will surely return, hold on
ağlama ne olur, vazgeçme bekle beni
dont cry, please dont give up wait for me
döneceğim mutlaka sabret
i will return, hold on

vız gelir dağlar denizler yaban eller
mountains, oceans, strangers, distance
sevmeye engel değil mesafeler
there are no reasons not to love each other
geçici bu ayrılık bir rüya farzet
just pretend its a dream
sonunda zafer bizim olacak, sabret
at the end, victory will be ours, hold on
sabret, sabret inci tanem
hold on ,hold on, my pearl
bekli beni
wait for me
döneceğim mutlaka sabret
i will surely return,hold on
ağlama ne olur, vazgeçme bekle beni
dont cry, dont give up, wait for me
döneceğim mutlaka sabret
i will surely return hold on

i agree with you, uykusuz, that tarkan is not a gay.i also now about his gf.and to everybody who says that tarkan is a gay:HAVE YOU EVER SEEN HİM WİTH A MAN DOİNG STH NASTY??? his songs are great!i wouldn`t now count all my favour'te songs of his cuz it will take a lot of time it is easier to say which song i don"t like:"biz nereye".this song has absolutelly nth to do with his style, even his voice is different in this song.but dudu,şıkıdım,bounce,unutmamalı...i think his songs will never get old and even after 100 years no one would say "ooo this song is so old, no one listen to it anymore" TARKAN FOREVER!!!!!!!!!
