I hope we dont read their divorcement three months later. But i am not so hopeful to tell the truth.

Actually, these internet-started relationships can work very well, because you first get attracted by the personality. And in the end, beauty fades, personality stays.

You don´t need internet to lie Most of the horor stories about Turkish dudu´s and ripped-off foreign women actually do not involve internet, but they involve a lot of hairgel, too much aftershave and lots of alcohol.

I wonder how cyber communications help people get to know each other´s real personality... especially when there is language barrier.

Nor would I

Some pretend to be the opposite gender on the internet. Some pretend to be younger than they actually are. Some pretend to know everything from politics to history. Some pretend to be of another race and talk crap about Turks...and so on.

Well, like I said before, people tell lies like this in real life too. Ever asked an older woman her age? But when you meet somebody in real life, you often get overwhelmed by looks and the romance of the moment. There is not much romance in an internet-conversation. Ofcourse you have to be carefull when you meet somebody on internet, but you ALWAYS have to be carefull. People don´t meet on the internet and get married before seeing eachother in rea life a couple of times. I´m just saying that meeting on internet first can actually lead to a more realistic relationship, since it can never be based only on looks and hormones.

What I was trying to say is: people can say anything on the internet that they will never dare to say in a face to face conversation. Wink

yeah but it is much more easy to tell lies on the internet. simply, you don´t use body language so people do not understand you are lying... etc...

anyway, it is everyone´s own decision
