Thank you for reminding. Somebody has written that there were 103 pictures waiting for being approved but most of them have to be deleted. You only think that there are 103 pictures and mods are sleeping.
There are lots of useless pictures among those 103 pictures and sometimes somebody uploads at least 20 or 30 useless pictures which are impossible to approve at the same time. That's why I make those kind of pictures wait and delete them together.
Before uploading a picture, please look at the pictures uploded by me, Admin or Elisa. Format of the pictures must be like the pictures uploaded by us. For instance, there must be at least a little information about the pictures. You must write the city where the picture belongs. Pictures have to be in large size. I deleted lots of small pictures.As I said, please look at the pictures uploaded by us. Otherwise, these kind of useless pictures will not approved by me and will wait there until being deleted.

Why did I have the impression that Slavica has done a great job too (for me the best job of all), uploading so many pics here with their description and comments?

You have to give credit where credit is due. I could definitely name more than 3 people who uploaded great pictures here.. But I'm not gonna name them, you know who you are

It's ok. Just... I call her night owl, because when I met her, she was hardly getting any sleep, working all night for TC's picture galleries. I thought somebody had to mention her contribution to this site, especially when pictures are the subject

If you are uploading pictures that you have taken on your own in Turkia then you have a better chance to see them approved.
Other moderators might act differently but I personally don't approve pictures that have been copied from somewhere else, particularly from a professional photographer's collection or from another website. As Erdem expalined, big size, good perspective, a short text is essential. I think the picture should be taken by you as well. I don't like the professional pictures mixed with member's pictures of Turkia. If it was up to me I would either delete all pictures that were copied or put them somewhere else.

Yes you get such a message. At least I got one from Erdem when I tried to upload some, explaining the reasons why those pics should be ignored. And I guess he was absolutely right to delete them. :-S
