For the new year I decided to translate a poem by Ahmet Necip Fazıl Kısakürek.

Please feel free to correct or suggest better english meanings.

Bu yağmur - this rain

Bu yağmur... bu yağmur... bu kıldan ince

thinner than hair this rain.... this rain...

Nefesten yumuşak yağan bu yağmur... bu yağmur...

this rain this falling rain... softer than breath

Bu yağmur... bu yağmur... bir gün dinince.

the day when it stop this rain... this rain....

Aynalar yüzümü tanımaz olur.

mirrors will not recognize my face

Bu yağmur kanımı boğan bir iplik

a thread which chokes my blood this rain

Tenimde acısız yatan bir bıçak

the knife lying in my skin without pain

Bu yağmur yerde taş ve bende kemik

a stone on the ground and a bone in me this rain

Dayandıkça çisil çisil yağacak.

pouring rain (pitter patter ) as long as I endure

Bu yağmur delilik vehminden üstün;

superior than the suspicion of craziness this rain

Karanlık kovulmaz düşüncelerden.

from thoughts darkness is not expelled

I can not expel darkness from my thoughts

Cinlerin beynimde yaptığı düğün

n my brain demons do the wedding ceremony

the wedding ceremony of demons which they do in my brain

Sulardan, seslerden ve gecelerden.

from waters, from sounds and from the nights

what do you think of this line

cinlerin ( jinn geni elves or  demon ) should it be your jinn does the wedding ceremony in my brain or was I closer to right the first time

I keep second guessing myself

cinlerin beynimde yap - dık -ı düğün  

"dık" makes the verb "yapmak" adjective. When "yapmak" becomes adjective, the words highlighted red alltogether become an adjective group.

They answer the question "what kind of a ceremony?" or "which ceremony?"

Answer is "The ceremony which demons do in my brain"

is jinn´s better or should it be demon´s

Jinn is better. Demon is an old Greek word. And demons are all evil creatures. But jinn is an Arabic word. And some of the jinns are evil and some of them are good creatures. So there is a difference between jinn and demon.
