Serbia condemns Turkish PM Erdogan’s remarks

..

"In the Republic of Serbia, such statements cannot be received as friendly. They depart from assurances that we get in contacts with Turkey´s top officials," the Foreign Ministry said, according to the Serbian news agency Tanjug.

Erdogan had given a speech during his visit to Kosovo´s Prizren, in which he said, "Kosovo is Turkey, and Turkey is Kosovo." The prime minister further added that the two nations, Kosovo and Turkey, shared the same history and civilization.

"The town of Emperor Dusan [the greatest ruler of medieval Serbia] is probably the least adequate place for such statements. Everyone in the world knows that Kosovo is a Serbian word, and Serbia´s territory, even those who recognized that quasi-state," the ministry said in a press release.

Anybody remembers cele kule?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skull_Tower

I think it is best, if we know a bit of history before looking at the events from one side.

I would also recommend Serdar Kaya´s writing for me beloved country people http://derinsular.com/kelle-kulesi/

It says that :

"Dünyada ölümle, korkuyla ve kaba kuvvetle hükmetmenin çok sayida örnegi vardir. Ama bu durumu böylesine dogrudan bir sekilde abidelestiren ikinci bir yapita rastlamak zordur."

Put your history in order, Agop !

Serbians may have a historical grudge against Turks, but why take it out on Bosnians and Kosovans ?

Only because it looked easy at the time. Cheap heroes....

Racism is not a frowned upon thing anymore.

It is considered as a CRIME in civilised societies!

That explains why Serbians attempted ethic cleansing of Bosnians and Kosovans. right in the middle of Europe.

Poor Serbians are just not civilised yet; that is all ! {#emotions_dlg.lol_fast}

As I mentioned before there are racists in each country. I am sure there are racists Serbians as well. We know that there are racist Turks too. But having some racist in Sebia is no justification to be a racist. Same goes with any other racists in any other country!

So racism has to go. No justification to be a racist.

Every country should deal with their own racists.

That is what we are doing here

I dont know what you mean with "let everything come but turkish" but I can tell you one thing: If your ´nationalist spirit´ comes in the form of hating others and racism, that type of spirit is better to be broken and I will make sure that spirit is broken!!

This war was fought by these two sides: crusaders comprising Serbs, Hungarians, Germans (and other European nations of the day) whose main target was to clean the Balkans from Turks who did not even call themselves an army of Turks but an army of Allah and remember the former called themselves "the Crusaders" i.e another army of God....

In other words, this was a political and religious war rather than a nationalist one. Janisaries who took up important missions in this war were mostly converted Christians. Turkish army was bearing the flag of Islam.

Now what do you mean by racism? A great deal of Ottoman Pashas were European, some were even Christian. Ottomans supported the millet system which gave minorities control over their own internal affairs. What they hated was küfür, they called their European enemies küffar meaning infidels and in return Europeans called them infidels.
