Who would ever believe that you and me would be so desperately asking for rules and admins...

OK, just a few examples of why people are upset here lately:-

Turkish Literature Forum - now contains numerous "personal" poems, which although very sweet, have nothing to do with Turkish Literature.

Turkey Forum - contains posts about whether or not you like to have a suntan.

Turkey - News and Announcements Forum - now contains posts which have nothing to do with Turkey, let alone news or announcements.

GENERALLY: Threads are being created all over the place, which have no general use. Even if you want a silly post in Off Topic, why not try to see if an existing thread already exists like "Two Pennies for your Thoughts" or "What made me smile today", or "I wish" - surely most of these posts could fit into these three categories? The forums are about sharing information, about sharing fun, about SHARING. If you post something about how happy you are with yourself today, for example, what can anyone else contribute to it??

The more threads you create, the less meaning and interest they have.

Just my opinion.....

Just a mere observation from coming to this site everyday in the last 9 months. There tends to be little tolerance and patience for people who post topics, opinions etc. I think we tend to take things too personally, myself included. Yes, people should follow the rules, however even when the mods were here daily they were not consistent. I don't like to see anyone's feelings hurt, whether they deserve it or not. Ok, Susan be realistic you can't always turn the other cheek. My gosh, but with so many different personalites and cultures your going to have disagreements etc. But I guess there is this thing called "tact". Some people aren't accustomed to. I just try not to take things so seriously, because when I get home and go to bed the last thing I want to do is dream about "Turkish Class. So I apologize ahead of time if I have offended you or insulted you. I really don't mean it as a personal attack. If you would get to know me from outside of the internet, I am a descent person. I happen to think and hope most of you are. I think we all have gotten carried away at one time or another. Don't get me wrong, I'm not making excuses for peoples behavior, actions etc here. But sometimes email and the internet can be destructive. Think about how many times at work you receive an email that set's you off. I have learned to respond later after I have given more thought to it. Typically, my response is alot different than if I responded right away. So maybe we could start doing that here. Just a suggestion to make this site more successful.

Nobody is complaining about being angry about other people's opinions Teaschip. But the website has become meaningless. Maybe you don't see it?

No, I really don't see it. I'm coming here everyday and still taking home something new that I have learned. What do you think the solution is then?

Well it looks like we may have been writing responses at the same time. I didn't see your post.

There is something else i've noticed, there is no much interest in learing the language as it used to be !

İ am not an old member too,i've joint 4 monthes ago,but things were different then.
People used to practice the language too,and others contributed for this purpose too.
Now,little who have interest in the language, and in practicing it too.

When was last time we used the Turkish practice Forum, and how often ?!

İt used to be realy a Turkish Language Class,
Now it's a Turkish language class alright, but with lack of both teachers and students !

Hey listen I'm not saying you guys don't have valid points. I'm just trying to figure out a solution. I just know personally when the mods were here daily, there wasn't a consistency either. So, if anyone else has a solution to making this site run smoother, I'm sure your suggestions are welcomed. But who am I?
