Christmas? Christmas is great! Days off work, shopping, presents, unbelievable amounts of food, sweets, candles, christmas trees, lamps at the balconies and yards, kids singing christmas songs(asking for my money to do so ), family gatherings, clubbing all night, partying all day and and and.... I adore Christmas!

Oh christmas treeeee oh christmas treeeeeee tralalalalalalaaaaa

(my christmas tree is already standing in the living room )

Awwwwwww Twinny, I am the same. Will get my tree this weekend and then lights go all the way round my house! The smell of oranges, mulled wine, candles, christmas tree and baking spices ahhhhhhhhh. Two days before Christmas my sister and I go to the woods and gather holly with berries and other plants to decorate the table and fireplace and the smell is soooooooooooooo lovely

At 7:30 this morning just as the class I teach was to start I received a phonecall from the administrator that we were going into full lockdown. Apparantly a gunman was at large within a mile from our school, and SWAT teams, helicopters and police were searching for him. It was very hard to teach all day with the blinds drawn, waiting for something bad to happen... and I live in one of the nicest suburbs in the USA. When things like this happen- I ask myself... Christine- why are you staying here in the uSA???...Sorry had to vent.
