elisa lessons translation please

girdiği gibi = as soon as .... entered
or basically
=when ... entered

I havent seen this construction yet. İs it interchangable with 'girer girmez' ?

That's what I was wondering too.

I thought 'as soon as' was the present and past 3rd person of the verb-e.g. ben gelir gelmez-as soon as I came

I guess so, but probably not used so much.
