But "Fatih" has a nice connotation in Turkey because of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet*. We use "Fatih" because of his name generally. Fatih is an Arabic word its Turkish meaning is aÃ§an. He opened Istanbul's gate for Ottoman Empire. I think so. Fatih is a good name in Turkey you can easly use it

Yes - but unfortunately 'Fatıh' just sounds like 'Fatty' to us - would be an unfortunate name to saddle a Turkish child in England with.
