Bodrum

Bodrum is called "Turkish Santorini or Saint Tropez", and is an amazing town, drowning in the beauty of the Aegan Sea and the colorful nature. Thanks to its rocky coasts and colorful islands, Bodrum is considered one of the most beautiful bays in the world. It is also an important port and a still growing touristic center. Tourists from Great Britain and Holland love this place and many of them decided to stay here permanently.

In the vicinity of the city, there are ruins of ancient Greek colonies - Halikarnas. At the tims of religious wars, knights built there a fortress which now decorates every postcard.

In the century I BC a construction of a tomb began in Bodrum. Made of white marble and covered with pyramidal steps was for almost 19 centuries one of the seven wonders of the world. Another magnificent spot in Bodrum is the Castle of St. Peter, in which there is also a Museum of Underwater Archeology.

Bodrum is a paradise for divers. In the region there are over twenty bases for this sport and at night the city pulsates with life. In Halikarnas one can find partys the Hollywood style as well as ample bars with local music. Everybody can find something for himself here as well as experience the beauty of the Turkish culture.
