Negative Imperatives
Answer questions 1 - 12 based on the following text:

You learned how to form the positive imperative command. Now let’s see how we form the negative – Don’t look!, Don’t go!  Don’t do it! etc.

Forming the negative of this tense is quite simple. The negative suffix ‘ma/me’ is added to the stem of the verb and followed by the case ending where appropriate:

For example:

bak+ma+(y)ayım : bakmayayım = Let me not look   (note use of buffer ‘y’)

bak+ma : bakma = Don’t (singular)look

bak+ma+sın : bakmasın = Don’t let him look, he shouldn’t look

bak+ma+(y)alım : bakmayalım = Let’s not look   (buffer ‘y’ again)

bak+ma+(y)ın : bakmayın = Don’t (plural) look

bak+ma+sınlar : bakmasınlar – Don’t let them look, he shouldn’t look
