... yerine, -ecek 2.2

yer (1the place, 2the earth, 3the floor, the ground)

yer+i(poss.)--------------->yeri (its place)

yer+i(poss.)+e(dative)----->yerine (to its place)

And you will conjugate "yer" according to possessive pronouns:

benim yerim (my place)

senin yerin (your place)

onun yeri (his place)

bizim yerimiz (our place)

sizin yeriniz (your place)

onlar覺n yeri (their place)

Let´s start after we showed where "yerine" bases on and how to conjugate according to the possessive pronouns.

_____________________________________________________________

çay (the tea)

kahve (the coffee)

çay yerine kahve (the coffee instead of the tea)

Mercedes

Hac覺 Murat (the Turkish version of Fiat124) :D :D

sürmek (1to continue, 2to drive, 3..4..5.)

Mercedes yerine Hac覺 Murat sürmek (to drive Fiat124Turkish instead of Mercedes)

=Mercedes sürmek yerine Hac覺 Murat sürmek (to drive Fiat124Turkish instead of driving Mercedes)

özür dilemek (to apologize)

daha fazla (much more)

suçlamak (to accuse)

özür dilemek yerine daha fazla suçlamak (to accuse much more instead of apologizing)

benim yerime sen (you instead of me)

onlar/onlar覺n yerine ben (I instead of them)

Onlar覺n yerine ben gideceim. (I will go instead of them.)

dosya (the file)

niye, neden (why)

göndermek (to send)

dosya+覺--------------------->dosyay覺 (the file (acc.))

Facebook yerine MSN (MSN instead of Facebook)

MSN´den (from MSN)

gönder+yor+iz--------------->gönderiyoruz (we are sending)

Dosyay覺 neden Facebook yerine MSN´den gönderiyoruz? (Why are we sending the file on MSN instead of Facebook?)

seçmeli (1optional, 2facultative)

yabanc覺 (1the stranger, 2the foreign)

dil (1the tongue, 2the language)

ders (the lesson)

olarak (as)

襤talyanca (Italian language)

Arnavutça (Albanian language)

seçmek (to choose)

seçmeli yabanc覺 dil dersi (facultative foreign language lesson)

seç+ecek+im----------------->seçeceim (I will choose)

Arnavutça+覺------------------>Arnavutçay覺 (Albanian language (accusative))

Seçmeli yabanc覺 dil dersi olarak 襤talyanca yerine Arnavutçay覺 seçeceim. (I will choose Albanian instead of Italian as facultative foreign language lesson.)

izin almak (to get permission (direct: to take permision))

kendi kafas覺na göre ((direct: according to one´s own head))

hareket etmek (1to act, to behave, 2to move, 3to leave (for buses, cars))

(kendi) kafas覺na göre hareket etmek (to act according to one´s (own) wish)

kafa+n+a(dative)------------>kafana (to your head)

hareket et+yor+sin------------------>ediyorsun (you are acting)

襤zin almak yerine niye kafana göre hareket ediyorsun? (Why are you acting after your own heart instead of get permission?)

We conjugated the suffix "-ecek" by the possessive suffixes. The same meaning I explained above can be expressed if you do the same thing and if you also add the suffix of the dative case.

Another point that should be remarked is the fact that this "-ecek" is not exactly the future tense suffix. This "-ecek" has the task of just giving meaning of "instead of". The tense of the sentence is already determined by the main verb.

VERB -ecek POSSESSIVE SUFFIX DATIVE CASE RESULT IN ENGLISH
  -ecek m e -eceime instead of the fact that I ...
  -ecek n e -eceine instead of the fact that you ...
  -ecek i e -eceine instead of the fact that he ...
  -ecek miz e -eceimize instead of the fact that we ...
  -ecek niz e -eceinize instead of the fact that you ...
  -ecek leri e -eceklerine instead of the fact that they ...

Let´s write the sentences, which I had written above, this way now.

onlar git+ecek+i+e--------------------->onlar gideceine (instead of the fact that they go)

git+ecek+im--------------------------->gideceim (I will go)

Onlar gideceine ben gideceim. (I will go instead of them)

The suffix "-ler" which is at the word "onlar" is already plural suffix. The plurality meaning is already being expressed by the pronoun. Therefore there is no need to add an extra "-ler".

Facebook+dan------------------------->Facebook´tan

gönder+ecek+miz+e-------------------->göndereceimize

Dosyay覺 Facebook´tan göndereceimize niye MSN´den gönderiyoruz? (Why are we sending the file on Facebook instead of sending on MSN?)

seç+ecek+m+e----------------------->seçeceime

Seçmeli yabanc覺 dil dersi olarak 襤talyanca seçeceime Arnavutça seçeceim.

If the objects and predicates of the sentences are mutual, there is no need to conjugate their verbs this way. For example, the sentences just above. There is really no need to say "seçeceime". "yerine" is quite enough, because just two objects are being compared.

izin al+acak+n+a--------------------->izin alaca覺na (instead of the fact that you get permission)

襤zin alaca覺na niye kafana göre hareket ediyorsun? (Why are you acting after your own heart instead of getting permission?)

Let´s go on giving another examples.

dört gün sonra (four days later)

s覺nav+n yok ------------------------->s覺nav覺n yok (you haven´t exam)

s覺nav覺n yok mu? --------------------->s覺nav覺n yok mu (don´t you have exam?)

Ders çal覺aca覺na televizyon izliyorsun. Dört gün sonra s覺nav覺n yok mu? (You are watching television instead of studying lesson. Don´t you have an exam four days later?)

Yolculua ç覺kaca覺mda yan覺ma kitap al覺r覺m. Bo bo zaman geçireceime kitap okurum, s覺k覺lmam. (I take a book along when I will go on a journey. I read book instead of wasting time by doing nothing, I don´t get bored.)

bo konumak, bo bo konumak (to prate)

susmak (1not to speak/talk, 2to stop talking)

konu+acak+n+a------------------------>konuaca覺na

("-dir" is in the task of generalization here.)

niye, neden (why)

kendi (oneself, own)

yapt覺覺n覺z hatalar (the mistakes you made/make)

kendi yapt覺覺n覺z hatalar (the mistakes your own made/make)

kendi yapt覺覺n覺z hatalara (to the mistakes your own made/make)

bak+ma+yor+s覺n覺z--------------------->bakm覺yorsunuz (you aren´t looking at)

Beni suçlayaca覺n覺za niye kendi yapt覺覺n覺z hatalara bakm覺yorsunuz? (Why aren´t you looking at the mistakes your own made instead of accusing me?)
